Bad take. Schools like MTSU often have players that are very talented, that’s why they get drafted. They have fewer, but some gems. Ohio State is chasing one of their DL.

Portalmania defines the inexact science of high school recruiting. Georgia plucked a highly rated WR transfer off Vandy. Out of HS, he was about #500 in the country. Players can develop.

I blame Heupel for keeping them around more than anything. I can accept banks getting another year but Martinez? I just can’t let it go. I’ll just start avoiding defense related threads

Some players just slip through the cracks. This kid has the physical attributes and it looks like he hits hard too

MTSU has produced some impressive safeties over the last few years. Kevin Byard and Reed Blankenship both starting for the Eagles from MTSU.

But, we beat Bama last year with much of the same defense as this year. This is an upgrade over what we had playing this tear in the secondary.

Don't know anything about this kid, but many of these G5 schools have a few great players on their rosters. The reality of the NIL era is that a lot of these G5 schools are being treated like Jucos --- go there ball out for a year or two, then get some NIL money at a P5 school.

NGL, it's a raw deal for the G5 schools, but it's the new reality. It's almost like a "farm system" now for the elite P5 schools now.
