He is a 4* right now, rated 15th in the nation by Rivals. I think that is the highest rated 4*. So safe to assume he will be a 5* in the rankings update. Especially if he puts up stats like he has been.

Thinking about how Lattimore insantly propelled South Carolina back to prominence. If Hurd can just come close to doing that for us, look out. And no matter who wins out at QB, we gotta be better off than the jerk they had. So optimistic for this year, hugely optimistic for next year and can't wait for the next commit.

Jones gets full credit for each and every recruit that has committed so far. They are buying into UT and Jones/staff. Period. Now if they can just surprise the world on the field this next season the rebuild will be complete.

C'mon, Dillon. You know it's time.

Are some actually belly aching about stars? He's the 15th overall rated player on rivals and I think even higher on scout. Its F'ing march, CTFO!

Back to prominence? I think Lattimore made USCjr relevant. They were mediocre for decades before he came. Once Jones gets this big orange ship sailing in the right direction they'll return to their place as 4th best in the East

I do not know Jalen directly but I know several of his friends and family friends. I understood he would NOT be a Vol as of last season. He was liking OSU and even Vanderbilt (to stay close to home). Any other SEC school was still being considered. So for Coach Jones to get this commitment is a triumph for him and his staff. It was my understanding last year that it would be anyone but the Vols. Fantastic turnaround.

It's unofficial of course. But this is a good thing for UT. We have to start grabbing the top talent in our own state. Jalen Hurd is a Stud Horse! He can run and he does a really good job of not giving the defenders something to hit solid. Great Pick up by Butch Jones.

I must have missed something. This is the first time I have heard he was a firm commit to Ohio State. But anyway I believe that the commit from Hurd, Todd Kelly Jr., Wharton and Creamer was more about their love for UT footbal than who the coach is or was. Yes I think CBJ is doing a great job but in these cases I think the University of Tennessee get most of the credit. Sorry if that upsets anyone.
