I personally think Franklin ends up at texas. Some article claimed it was down to him and strong and a decision would be made in the next 24 hours. Dunno if theres any truth to it but i can't see him going to penn over texas. Course these stories are always claiming inside sources too.

This maybe true since they have striked out with all the candidates at the top of their list.

Wasn't UF ranked when they beat them? I know what happened later but still counts.

No, that doesn't count. I'm talking about teams that actually finished in the top 25, not teams that people thought might be good at the beginning of the season that turned out to be awful.

Yea, not saying he's done a good or bad job there but in my opinion the W counts. still has 12 next to florida on their record at the end of the season.

Gruden to the other UT. His wife graduated from UT. So its a perfect fit. She was and always will be a cheerleader. And everyone knows they are dumb as a bag of nails. If she had to cheer for another abbreviation she would probably misspell it. But anyways. Gruden to UT.

I really don't care if he were to get the job or not, but seeing him recruit head-to-head with Meyer would be entertaining. They're both douchebags.

Anybody that beats Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia in the same season, given they are at full strength or not, will get interviews.

Funny thing is if you go on the vandy message board vandy mania people on there actually believe he has turned down penn state, texas and a few nfl teams to remain at vandy.

Penn State is the perfect place for him right now and not because of his PA connections. Franklin's biggest frustration at Vandy has been finding out that Nashville and Vandy just isn't going to show the support he wants regardless of whether or not he wins them more games than they've ever seen. The stadium plans they've had are stuck in no-man's land. The athletic center they just opened is nice for a small private school but there are high schools with better ones and in big time football, especially the SEC you can't have that. It's also shared amongst all sports. Even if Vandy wanted to build first class training centers and practice fields they're limited by space (something other SEC schools don't have to worry about).

Franklin has been obvious about not liking the fact that he gets no fan support. At PSU, he'd get all the support he could want and plenty of time because of their sanctions.

He probably will take it if offered, but it's a huge mistake. O'Brien is on record about the still political infighting taking place at PSU over the Paterno "legacy" or those wanting to move on, he as mentioned to some sources it was the primary reason he was leaving. PSU is still all about Paterno, it's not about the kids playing there right now.
