Jarnell Stokes names his top 3

What does our team have to do with 09 Kentucky, aside from several of those players being former Tiger commits?

Other than the fact they were a team full of freshman who went to the elite 8 and were ranked in the top 10 all season? You guys had top 10 talent as well last year, and we beat you by 20 (could've been 40). Youth shouldn't be used as an excuse when you have that much talent.

Quit using that excuse please. See: Kentucky 2009. Face it, you guys have all the talent in the world and a twelve year old boy as head coach. I honestly feel for you guys, I really do.

you should be more concerned w/ your own team. No talent and a coach who cant recruit.

hope you enjoyed the best 6 years TN will ever have -- even if it only got ya 1 elite 8.

Exactly the response I was hoping to induce. Thank you for expressing your insecurities. I will charish the last six years and our Elite 8 appearance knowing full and well it will never have to be vacated (something your fanbase knows little about). And I don't think anyone has seen CCM's recruiting ability yet as it's only been 4 months since he was hired. Patience, little brothers to the west.

That team had 5 first round picks on it.

Sorry, FAIL.

4 months after Josh Pastner was hired, he had signed Will Barton and Antonio Barton.

Just sayin'.

And he was... a longtime assistant on Cal's staff. Apples and oranges, bro. The reason the '09 Kentucky team had 5 first rounders is because they had a coach who put them in a system that highlighted their strength's and helped them realize their potential.. something pastner's #1 class didn't come close to doing. Wasn't that supposed to be the best class ever assembled? And what happened to them in Knoxvile? Does this ring any bells:

Pardon me, thinking of something different entirely. Even with my temporary brainfart, it would be fair to say UM had more talent last year than UT (and we had top 12 talent atleast) and it was still a rout of epic proportions. Pearl wiped the floor with Pastner, and that's saying something considering BP didn't have the words "half-court offense" in his vocabulary.

What in CCM's past makes you think he can't find and acquire talent?

On the other hand, what in CJP's past makes you think he can coach/win?

How many players did UT have go in the draft?

How many did Memphis have?

I don't see the argument for Memphis having more talent last season. Te game was a blowout, I can't deny that.

Pastner didn't have NCAA sanctions hanging over his head. Ya'll however did have a vacated final four:D

Stokes tweeted this morning mentioning this might be the last time he will ever live in Memphis. This does not seem like a guy that has made up his mind on going to Memphis.

Here's the tweet:
"It just hit me that this may be my last month ever living in Memphis. #sadtweet"

Stokes is playing the recruiting game as much as possible. Gathering all of the attention a 17 year old could want.

I have to concur with that statement.

Lol seriously? Just because your boys don't play defense, it doesn't mean they aren't talented.

Exactly. They have 3 or 4 players with NBA talent, but Pastner runs that program like an AAU or streetball team. Plus he shops at Baby Gap which is another knock on him.

? He dresses like any other coach, and his clothes are relatively loose fitting. The one time I saw Pearl in real street clothes, he was sporting some old faded jeans (not designer) and an ugly green polo. Not a knock on his fashion sense or anything, but it just wasn't what I expected from someone who has as much money as he.

Imagine you're a successful NBA owner (it's a stretch, I know, but try for us). Which Memphis Tiger do you select, over a player who was actually drafted, with your late first round pick?

I don't draft any of them, because they didn't declare for the draft. I believe that would be illegal. Thank you for playing though.
