I also do think that getting Shaq Goodwin will lessen the blow tremendously for Memphis if Stokes chooses UT or Arky. PT might be harder to come by as a Tiger so Stokes might decide to go east or west of Memphis.
When it comes to recruiting in the city of Memphis, Brooks seems to be right most of the time.I agree.
On Brooks, I was not trying to compare to KE. I thought the guy was a little confused and sounded a little homerish. I don't take everything KE says seriously, but when he seems adamant, I figure he probably has legit info.

BTW, someone has a fake KE Twitter account (@easterwoodnot) and he is teasing UK fans who think it is actually KE. Pretty comical.
Haha @ Twitter comment.
Btw, I had to laugh at the portion of the Brooks interview when he was talking about Stokes. Do you remember that? That is when I thought homerism was at its best. It was when he was talking about Stokes either playing together with Shaq and others or if he can't sack up and handle competition, he could head to Arky or TN. I laughed at that one.
A little surprised to see Jarnell on the court last night with Southwind. I guess he is going to roll the dice and pray this last chance appeal comes through for him to play there this season.
IMO, in accordance to TSSAA policy, he should have to sit. I do think it is a little funny how a few local media people are kind of lobbying for this kid to become eligible though. It is not like he is a true hardship case.
Now the wait continues to see if Martin can pull a stunning coup and land five-star forward Jarnell Stokes out of Memphis. The fact that he made it through his hastily put together visit to Kentucky last week without committing was a definite positive for Tennessee.
It’s our understanding though that the staff has been in contact with Stokes’ family this week, contact initiated from the family’s side. So it seems safe to say that the Vols are still in there swinging. Some view Alex Poythress’s decision to sign with Kentucky as a sign that the ‘Cats are no longer a factor with Stokes. A sentiment that leads many to think it’s down to Memphis and Tennessee.
If Stokes waits to sign until the spring, something he hasn’t ruled out. Expect Tennessee to continue to recruit him at a fever pitch.
If he doesn't sign this week, then we become the favorites IMO.
And/or to see what players are showing out and might be heading to the league.I would not go that far.
I am pretty sure that it has been his dad's wish for quite a while that he wait until the spring signing period. I really think they want to watch how some teams progress and make sure that he does not go to a school where it appears the coach could bolt after he signs the LOI.
Jarnell was right behind the Memphis bench today decked out in Memphis gear.
He witnessed a pretty solid performance in front of a packed house at noon on a Tuesday.
Bodes well, I think.
Pretty solid performance?
Belmont played pretty solid. Memphis didn't play good basketball, they were just ridiculously more athletic than Belmont.
