You have to hope that Martin can build a strong relationship with him and that Clear and the brother being at TN carry weight. At one time, he had made a comment about not wanting to stay in Memphis, but depending on who you listen to, some say that may not really matter much.

The problem I see here will be the pressure to stay in town. They did not have to do it with Jackson, but he will get Adonis Thomas type treatment and it will be hard to turn back. Add in AAU coaches that are Memphis fans and in Memphis' back pockets, plus his connections to Jackson, Crawford, Thomas, and Black.

One of the interesting comments I thought was made by his AAU coach was that Memphis would be stacked next year and that TN would suck....meaning that next years results may weigh heavily.

Memphis leads with Anderson hot on their tails. Tennessee included because he needed to mention 3 teams or it would be a top 2.

Suffice it to say that Memphis feels very confident with Mr. Stokes. History is in Memphis' favor as well, see Adonis Thomas, Joe Jackson.

Easterwood knows that I am right. Pastner can only abuse and misuse his talent for so long.

C Jones starring this year would be awesome for us in Memphis and folks will follow this team closely.

Martin can connect in a way that very few can. He will get his players and easterwood can only punish ut for laughing at his attempt to help his son for so long.

Pastner must start producing with his talent, no question about that. As of now, his inexperience hasn't kept him from signing the top Memphis players two years running.

C. Jones was a nice get for the Vols and he's a good player. If you ask a Memphis fan, Jones was completely incompatible with Joe Jackson, and wholly redundant with the guard class we brought in in 2010. If you ask a UT fan, CBP won a hard fought battle with Pastner for one of the best that Memphis has to offer in 2011. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the grey area.

Martin is a likeable guy. He's signing the players that he can right now, just like Pastner in 2009. 2 and 3 star types. Martin's first true recruiting task is for next season. I foresee UT getting a lot of Midwest kids and dashing in some ATLs. Memphis will continue to get the cream of the crop in Memphis under Pastner.

For a fanbase that seems to want to recruit Memphis so much, it bottles my mind that you would alienate and villainize Easterwood like you've done.

Let me guess you're Memphis Basketball and Miami football? Maybe its a guess or it could be that every Memphis/Kentucky fan forget they have a "football" team..

It is not my fault that Memphis Basketball and Miami Football are both a lot more interesting then their counterparts.

And you should. I'm a Memphis alum, but I've been a Vol fan since I was big enough to spell GO VOLS. I do pull for Memphis in every game except for when they play UT. :)
