Glad he is back but he not a very good recruiter .. better position coach .. he was way down the list of recruiters .. even on his team of coaches at tam.

People seem excited about this. I hate to sound like such a dummy but is it his coaching reputation or recruiting or just because he's a Vol? I looked back at the 247 recruiter rankings for the last 7 years and this was their take.

2020 -7th on his team - 238th nationally
2019 - 4th on his team - 95th """
2018 - 7th on his team - 178th """
2017 - 2nd on his team - 8th """
2016 - 7the on his team - 139th """
2015 - 8th on his team - 497th """
2014 - 6th on his team - 261st """

I think his recruiting should be good, but I think he's an even better coach truthfully. He did snag cam akers from us while at FSU as well.

His value in recruiting is in North Carolina. That was not a strong suit in Texas. It was less important at FSU than here. He will be beneficial there for Tennessee with proximity.

As for PM I think he would be a terrible coach. I think he is too meticulous in his thinking and dealings for almost any 17-20 year old to deal with him. Basically, I see it as he would have a extremely difficult time trying to “dumb down” what he instantly sees on the field to young players. I understand you don't want a huge debate and that is fine by me. We will keep it short. I will say I disagree as PM knows the individual aspects of how to improve including drills and film study to improve your self. You simply modulate based on the player. You can't boil the ocean.
