Tell me who has more SEC experience on the offensive side of the ball than Jay Graham?
That is what I thought.
Jones totally disrespected Jay when he paid Zach Azzanni more than him.
it is that simple. None of those coaches are better than him or have a better reputation in the south than him. Real hard for me to believe no other coaches approached Jay about jobs before FSU, but he stayed out of loyalty to the university during the transition.

Azzanni for one dingbat! Great Rep while coaching at "FLORIDA" and then at "WISC". Urban Meyer had no SEC experience until he came an won a few games, sheesh. I'll take overall experience(years coaching) as in all the other coaches have been at it longer than CJG (some have been wih CBJ longer than CJG has been coaching) and have won a bunch of games. It's CBJ's ship to sail, let him do his thing!!! GO VOLS!!!
No he stayed because he had to pay back $112,500.00 if he left before 2-15-13

1.-Tennessee needs power RBs. In two recruiting seasons, tell me who the great recruiter Jay Graham, the RB coach brought in.
2.-Can you show me that the improvement in YPC by the Volunteer RBs last season was not due in large measure to the much improved and more than adequate offensive line?
3.- How many yards did the RBs get on their own after breaking into the backfield, compared to say the last 10 previous campaigns?
4.- How many long rambles for 1st downs, 15, 20, 30 yds did the RB's produce on their own after busting through holes provided by the line. A line that many say will be close to the best, if not the best OL in the NCAA this coming year.
So, it can be easily argued that some of the credit given to the RBC should go to the OLC instead.
Also, tell me which SEC caliber power RBs Jay recruited that have yet produced anything. Their are other schools where freshmen have stepped right in and contributed in the SEC. Jabo Lee is a scat back, not a downhill runner-(yet-he may grow). And he was picked up last minute when Jay whiffed on at least six or seven other candidates.
Although I disagree and think he should be given 4 to get stability and find the assistant coaching mix he truly wants and have a team of his own recruits, CBJ is going to get three years to make this work. Every one of the assistants has to be prodcing now.
If Jay was this great recruiter, why were schollys left on the table?
I have to ask, was Jay Graham producing all that much and earning his keep right now?
I like Jay, but if I were running a business, it's all about the numbers, and they don't lie. I don't care about the karma surrounding someone. Karma kept Bowden Wyatt here several years after even my dad, a childhood friend of Bowden's, thought he should go.
Tell me where I ever said he should have been the highest paid on the staff? Please read and comprehend the title of this thread.
Do you hate that he left because of turmoil?
Or, because of the turmoil that his leaving created, you hate that he left?
I'm seriously asking. That's been an assertion by some here, and I'd like to know if there is any verifiable sources concerning turmoil on the staff, and within the program.
I don't think this is going the way GiveHimSix wanted it to go. Maybe if he steps up the aggression level a little bit....
Money wasn't the issue here. We countered and were prepared to match what FSU threw at Graham. He left for the "title" of recruiting coordinator. He did not earn that title here. If he had earned it, he would have the title, simple as that. Give me someone who wants to earn it than someone who wants to be given the title. I don't care if you just grew up watching the Vols on TV or if you won the damn Heisman in our uniform. You're gonna earn it under Butch.
I have to think he wasn't real happy about coaches who haven't even proven their chops at the SEC level...coming in and snagging the money Jones was given to hire BIG FISH assistants. So they get HUGE raises, while he gets a modest raise and is still the 2nd lowest paid assistant. Probably saw himself as much more proven at the level, and saw Jones treatment of him, as a holdover, as something of a slight.Even more simple: If you're at a place you supposedly love and feel like you're being underpaid, go ask for a raise. Forget that you already got a 15% raise when the new guy came in. If you think you're worth more, go ask it.
That, of course, assumes that you're exactly where you want to be, a shaky assumption for someone who has had 8 jobs in 13 years.
My bad, please excuse my error. I like CJG but there is no way he should have been the highest paid non coordinator on the offensive staff.
