How so? CJG has fewer years of actual coaching experience than everyone on the staff except 1 coach I think. His pay refelects that.

Jay was next to last in pay on the staff, Jones wanted him to be paid more so we can thank Lizard Man Hart and the Gator Agriclown Cheek for this mess

Will Butch replace Graham with another Cincinnatti coach? Like I said, you better have a sense of Humor if you are a Vol fan....Laughter is the best/only medicine for the Vowels

After a raise he was the second lowest paid guy on the staff. That's pretty sad IMO. There are others on the staff who haven't proven any more than him, I don't give a damn how many years they've coached. And you need to quit crying about him not landing a RB. It's not just his job to land a RB. Is it the DL coaches fault we didn't land Lawson? Is it Martinez's fault we didn't land Vonn Bell? You can't fault him for not landing a RB then give others a pass for not getting players of their position.

What a way to start another week. Thought we would not face this kind of news for a long time.

I like Jay Graham, but I am beginning to wonder if there is any loyalty anywhere. Maybe it is best we don't get UT people because it makes it harder to lose the ones we really expect to be loyal.

Getting harder to convince players to be VFL when they keep seeing it does not matter to some of our best players of the past.

Program is going nowhere with Hart and Cheek in charge at UT.

What a disaster. I don't blame Jones for this. Jones has no chance against the top of the SEC with those clowns running the show.

Anyone who expects our exile in football Siberia to end soon is kidding theirself. We're no better than a perpetual .500 team, and the bottom rung of the SEC, without major changes.

This hurts more than any recruit we lost almost a month ago. Best recruiter on staff. Ut alum. Not good. Not good at all.

Don't blame him, big east coaches came in and made more money than him, with an SEC resume. Was like the 2nd lowest paid or something right?

Good or bad, I would like to hear directly from CJG about the reason(s) he's leaving his alma mater instead of the standard coach speak. I'm sure that will never happen though.

It seemed like he did a great job coaching our running backs but I do wonder why he couldn't land a top RB recruit this year. Perhaps he wouldn't promise them that he would be around to coach them, who knows?

Must get a proven recruiter to replace Jay. Jay did what was best for him, and I cant fault him for that. If Jones really wanted to keep him, he would have offered more money that he did. Lets not trash Jay for doing what was in his best interest----its not a lateral move like he made to come to UT.
Trooper Taylor is definitely a name to consider. Jones knows he must have a proven recruiter in Jay's spot so I dont think he goes the Cincy route. What other names are out there?
