Jaylen McCollough arrested

Exactly Jethro… you decided to believe what the drunk stated…. Until proven otherwise.

You must have me mistaken for someone else, my name isn't Jethro. I read the report and from what I read McCollough screwed up. The police evidence doesn't go in his favor at all. I'm hoping this can blow over to nothing but he has been charged with a felony,

So JM is guilty until proven innocent because the drunk guy that entered his apartment says so….got it Jethro ….

C'mon, dude..... does every. single. slight you receive in life deserve the Kelly Bundy treatment?

Darth inVader opened the wrong door.... that's been established, repeatedly. Hell's bells.... it's actually happened to me.... I didn't go all "kill 'em and let god sort it out" but.....

From there, the story's get weird.... but another thing has been established, Darth inVader ended up at the bottom of a flight of stairs, unconscious, and missing teeth. (Where he lost 'em? Falling down stairs will do that) This needs more explanation than, "dude opened the wrong door, apologized, and moved on"..... And that's all we're getting.

On the face of it? There's a big ol' bunch of WTF happened in between?

There's something missing here that will make ALL of this make sense (one way or the other) and we're not getting it (whether we, as fans, are entitled to it is another discussion). The way it stands now? It doesn't look good for JM.

The best implication I've seen is that Darth inVader was a FL fan that's willing to get drunk and throw himself down a flight of stairs, risking death, to make a TN player look bad..... I can get behind that at this point. FL fans and stupid stuff go hand in hand.....

Hate to have you on my jury - “The evidence doesn’t prove his guilt, but why didn’t he testify? I just think it’s fishy so I’m voting to convict.”
Every UT athlete goes through multiple “life skills” seminars where they are taught life lessons. I’m sure at least one is lead by Greg Issacs ( or other UT donor attorney.) During this seminar the athletes are all given the contact info for “friendly” attorneys available 24/7 that if the athlete encounters a legal situation they are to call and not to speak to the police -other than name and ID - until they have counsel present.
This YouTube includes a police officer in law school telling everyone to not say anything to a cop without counsel

I didn’t receive a slight and you’re making the point I was trying to. There are two sides to the story and we’re only getting one…. 👍🏼 Kelly Bundy? Really bro?😁

Exactly what I’ve been saying. We know one side but we haven’t heard McCollough’s side yet. And, I think it’s kinda crappy releasing one side of events. Especially if it’s a felony charge.

i got it figured out guys, Ricky is a cop. Nowhere else is this info out there. Now he is saying 2 witnesses. He is either pulling this info from police records we havent seen or from somewhere else
If I remember correctly, Ricky had some good info when the Salter gang raided the drug dealers apt, so I would not dismiss him. I think he is a cop or friends with someone who is.

And two other witnesses. One of them is McCullough’s “friend”
Why don’t you just speak plainly and spill everything out for us? Instead of beating around the bush and posting little snippets of information and playing a guessing game or any BS? If you know the story just post what you know, if you’re making up a bunch of crap or posting info from someone that’s full of crap just stop being a backstabbing douche.

I don't know what happened and there is always two sides to every story. The thing that puzzles me is Coach Heupel saying he wasn't made aware of this incident until late Sunday night. I will never believe that. I would think he was one of first people notified. The report says Jaylen had no comment when being questioned by the officers. Sounds like someone who had been in contact with legal counsel? Legal counsel hired by the university? It wouldn't surprise me to see it all go away. JM is a starter otherwise he would probably be tossed.
I think he was actually processed later that night? Entirely possible that Heupel didn’t know about it till the AM hours the next day. Wouldn’t have mattered anyways as far as Heupel being looped in sooner. There’s a lot going on for a head coach behind the scenes as well day to day.

What’s the lowdown on this? I’m assuming you’ve seen the report
Report had nothing in it that he’s talking about. I linked the report earlier. They mentioned talking with his gf and made no mention of her saying anything Rickyvol has claimed.

This actual thing happened to me, but, apparently I'm some kinda wuss because I didn't make sure the dip**** didn't end up at the bottom of a flight of stairs

So it’s not possible that the guy may have fell down the steps on his on. He’s running away, looking back and bam he falls down the stairs.

I mean, the guy is drunk enough to go into the wrong apartment.

This is what makes me think the drunk guy isn’t as innocent as we’re being led to believe. Most rational people wouldn’t bash someone’s head apart for an innocent mistake followed by an apology. My theory is JM probably cursed him and he started jawing back and it escalated

O.K..... Sure

I'm actually on board with that!

<that's my argument, if I'm JM actually>

Why make up a story about that?

The guy that probably got punched is breaking and entering and also trespassing. So he has to make up something to cover his own ass.

Do we think McCullough meant for the dude to end up at the bottom of the steps? If we believe the statement of the victim:

1)he was in the wrong apartment, apparently somewhat compromised as far as judgment.
2)he wasn’t assaulted in the apartment but was given the chance to leave.
3)he said something to McCullough and the situation escalated after that.

Let’s just say all that is true which you and I know the truth is usually somewhere in the middle but let’s say his statement is entirely true. At what point do you say hey the victim was in the wrong place and made matters worse by escalating the situation further. Maybe if all that is true McCullough deserves some punishment but there are a range of mitigating circumstances and that’s just if all of the statements of the victim are true.

He's making stuff up. His "account" completely contradicts the warrant where the alleged victim said he didn't know the place yada yada yada.

We've already established that the "drunk dips***" made a mistake, and was maybe a prick about pointing it out.....

How does that excuse following said "drunk dips***t" and causing 'im to fall down some stairs? He said "You don't have to be a d*** about it"?? If other things come to be known I'll change my mind..... but, as far as it goes right now?

"Don't you dis me!! I'll punch you in the face and cause you to fall down a flight of stairs"

Makes sense.... Seems like a reasonable response to a mistake, huh?

Did you ever think the guy may have known exactly what he was doing?

So, everyone is saying not to assume what is not in the arrest warrant. There is nothing that says the victim was drunk.

If you have never walk into the wrong building in a complex that all buildings have the same layout, I don't know what to say. If you do not live there but think you know where you are going, it is very easy to go to the wrong room. I've done it sober, but I looked at the number before knocking and left. if you were distracted like most people on their phone it could happen.

Just saying there is assuming on both sides and you guys are going in circles.

I mean how long was he in the apartment before someone knew he was there?

He had been drinking with friends was his story
