Remember Jim Bob Cooter when here once crawled through wrong window and into a girl's room or something like that. Anyone here remember this besides me? I'll Google story in morning see if I can find it as I am headed to bed now.
You'all are correct in pointing out that both sides of the story have not been heard.
It could well be that the victim here shares much more blame for what happened than he told the officers.
But, short of this guy pulling a weapon (knife, gun, lead pipe), McCollough is dumb and selfish for what he did.
Again, other than a weapon being involved, McCollough should have at the front of his mind to avoid anything that could land him in trouble.
He should have walked away and closed the door - call Police if the guy returns.
Problem being that some of these individuals abide by this idiotic culture that says you must never be disrespected in any way, lest you initiate violence.
Can’t go no further than home. Doesn’t look like he was out looking for drama. So much more info to be had in this situation and people on both sides of the argument are speculating. The truth always stands. Aggravated Assault is a nasty charge. I hope KPD gets it right which ever way it goes.I support the "innocent until proven guilty" line of reasoning. But a senior should know better than to get himself into a situation where he leaves his team without one of its important starters for one of the biggest games in recent memory. Young guys making bad decisions!!!!
Something rather important missing that none of us knows about this mess.
Who the heck is the other male that was with Tank’s gf Ryan at the bottom of the stairs trying to assist when Zion came to?
Mentioned but not named in the KPD report so likely not on scene to be interviewed by PD when they showed up.
Could this be a team member who was hanging out with them, saw it all go down and has talked to coach and perhaps that is why coach is waiting on a decision about Tank?
I for one am glad our coach is waiting until things get clarified and that he’s not making an impulse decision based on initial information about Tank’s situation.
Something else we don’t know is where Tank was, who he spoke with and what occurred in the almost 6 hours between when KPD arrived on scene and when he walked back to be arrested.
Seems there is so much more to this situation than just the initial information presented that so many have used to already convict Tank.

The screamingly horrible thing about JimBob was he wasn't the worst QB TN ever saw....
How close was he to the best? Not very.... but dude wasn't the absolute worst.
Why have you waded into this neck deep when it really does not concern you??
I agree with most of this. The bills are a civil suit. Not sure if they did a BAC on the drunk? Something in Law about if you commit a crime under the influence? The charges are over the top but will be downgraded or should be. Headlines are loving this so it is somewhat bad timing but he should play. One thing that bothers me is that there maybe more to the story that we may not know with the GF?Only one side of the story is being shared right now and I don't think the Police had the full story from both sides before deciding to charge JM with agravated assault.
I'm no legal professional or anything close to it, but wouldn't it be hard to prove that Jaylen meant to cause this individual serious bodily harm? I understand the guy fell down the stairs, lost consciousness, and a few teeth. But how much of that is of his own doing by being drunk and losing his balance? Is Jaylen supposed to immediatley know he is drunk? How far do the stairs go down? Is this complex known for thieves? Was this guy making threats? etc
I think the better case to make is simple assault on the basis that this was at most, a reckless act by Jaylen, but not an intentional act to cause serious bodily harm. And if it is downgraded to a misdemeanor, I think it would be more likely to settle privately with the guy (pay for his dental work, medical bills, and other damages) on the basis that the misdemeanor charge is thrown out.
Cooter also got a DUI his Senior Year.I STILL have a shirt that came from someone on the strip in Knoxville that says “Put Cooter In!!” And below that I smaller latters is “firerandysanders.com”. It’s a collectors item IMO.
True, drunk guys fall down stairs and could accuse people of pushing them, completely plausible.. my son in pre K fell and got stitches and said someone pushed him (he still thinks someone pushed him) lol the pre k had cameras and absolutely no one was around him when he fell.. a Nest canera would tell the picture.. otherwise? Don’t knowOnly one side of the story is being shared right now and I don't think the Police had the full story from both sides before deciding to charge JM with agravated assault.
