Jaylen Wright leaving?

I think it would be beneficial to everyone if Wright would clarify what he meant.
Of course, he’s not required to.
Maybe it’s a strategy of some sort to get more NIL mone?

Could be getting some pull to go back to home ito Durham.

UNC isn't exactly stacked at RB but has a strong offense. Would probably be their best option day 1.

If Sampson figures out the pass blocking, I see him being the clear #1 next year.

Figured I would throw my idle, uneducated, uninformed speculation into the mix lol. Nun personal.

While I see that point, if these players are going to be pros and chase the dollar then we no longer have to treat them with kid gloves. Once they have chosen to go down that route, they are fair game for any criticism for their play or loyalty.
That would be correct. Nobody shies away from criticizing NFL players. The “college” players are pros now so the gloves are off.

Yes, fans need to back off. Need to keep in mind these players should expect it with these cryptic tweets. Little doubt his tweets have to do with football. He’s fishing. Sometimes you catch more than you bargain for.
Yes, if players make cryptic tweets with no explanation, they should expect blowback. Just say what you mean clearly and there won’t be problems.

Be careful what you wish for - Eric Gray
1364 yds rushing, 6.4avg, 11TDs

Pretty good senior year. He finally reached his potential Hard to blame Gray for taking the money and then being forced to transfer.
Blame Pruitt/ and company for that.
Gray would have stayed (AFAIK), if it had been possible.
He is the #128 player, #10 RB in the draft according to NFL DRAFT BUZZ - Eric Gray RB Ok

Gray knew what he was doing accepting money and whatnot. Let’s not pretend like these are 10 years old kids who have no concept of right and wrong.

Settle down everyone. We have seen this movie before when we were REALLY GOOD. This is what happens. We have a great player that goes to practice everyday and sees the writing on the wall. Wright understands that his playing time at Tennessee is going to be limited due to others. That is not to say he is not a great talent. Wright is making a business decision. I remember a great QB, born and raised in Knoxville, whose life dream was to be the QB at Tennessee. He got that job. Then he got hurt. Once he went back to practice he understood there was no way in hell he was going to earn his job back. He decided to focus on baseball. He went on to make $161 Million in the Big Leagues. More than Greg Maddux; Griffey Jr.; Clemens and many other greats. Todd Helton knew Peyton was better. Wright knows others are better. That does not mean he will not find success. He understands that he will not be able to have a leading role with this team. I wish him well. This is a great complement to the Tennessee running back room.

As reference, see Eric Gray. Next man up. If you’re leaving the house, good luck and goodbye.

I'm not sure that Sampson doesn't need to be the main guy next season, and it's possible that Wright sees the writing on the wall and wants to spend one season as the primary back somewhere before he enters the draft. If Small is coming back, then barring injuries Wright's time will be further reduced. This is just the way it's going to be moving forward, and to clutch at pearls every time it happens is kind of pointless.
