Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Any Owners?

The Alien Sunshade is perfect. Highly recommended. I also installed the detachable mirror brackets, and they seem to fit their purpose well. Looking forward to lose the doors as soon as weather permits.

Just had the driveshaft come off the rear. Good times.

There isn't a bigger hunk of crap on the road than the Jeep anything, have owned two wranglers and both had horrendous transmissions, crappy gas mileage, cheap interiors, and absolutely no power. If you enjoy wasting money and paying a high price for a piece of crap then by all means proceed.

I guess if you have to forge a river and pull a steep embankment to get to your house then possibly it would be worth driving down the driveway. If you traded in a truck that was in decent shape and running, then you just got taken for a ride.

I'm saving up to get a 2nd car for bad weather days, and I like jeeps. But all my jeep friends are always having to fix something on theirs

Welp, time to sell the Jeep I guess.

What if you just really enjoy forging rivers and climbing up hills and over rocks? The only issues I've had thus far is that my doors fall off in good weather and I have permagrin while driving. To each his own.

A much greater argument is to be had with brodozers that require Jeeps to pull them out and soccer-mom-mobiles that get worse mileage and cost over twice as much.

I could think a few bigger hunks of crap on the road than a Jeep but I think that's a personal opinion. And I really don't think anyone purchases a Jeep expecting to get great gas mileage. The interiors are made so they can be cleaned out easily. As far as no power goes... you either had a four cylinder or a lifted Jeep with stock gears which will make the Jeep seem like it has no power. 4.0 liter motor are pretty much bullet proof as long as you take care of them.

Jeeps aren't for everyone.

Gotta replace the rear end. Fml

That sucks but I have been there and done that before. Mine threw a bearing and poked a hole in the rear diff cover and leaked all the fluid out. I would have never known had someone not said something while my Jeep was sitting at work. I lucked out though and found a guy that put all new running gear under his Jeep and was selling a front and rear diff and transfer case for 150 bucks.

I can't and they have a horrendous track record for reliability and power. The only redeeming quality other than looks for the Jeep is it has a good resale value because Jeep owners belong to a brain washed cult that believes its crappyness makes it unique. My wife suckered me into test driving a four door one a few years back and the engine quit during the test drive with a 38k price tag :eek:lol:
