Jeremy Banks out tonight

Milton is a loser he is not the future we need to start Jackson and get Imalaeva ready when he comes to camp

He’s a loser? Also, I think you need to learn punctuation and capitalization. Especially when calling someone who plays for the university and has never done anything detrimental, a loser.

I didn’t see a thread on this, but rumors are Banks was upset about NIL, hasn’t been going to class, and tried fighting Hooker in the locker room this week. Not good, not good at all. If this is true we have a locker room issue.

If true, it was bound to happen to locker rooms in the NIL era. Everyone could see jealously coming.

Also, Austin Price said in one of their videos that Banks was out for an elbow injury. We heard during the game that it was non-injury related.

We also heard during game that Hooker became the starter after a Milton injury last year. He started because he almost led the comeback win vs Pitt after Milton got benched lol

Banks ought to be glad he’s even on the team, with the stunt he pulled. I had hoped when he was welcomed back and doing well, that maybe he had changed, but I guess I was wrong.

Banks has been the heart and soul of our defense this year. I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions from an internet rumor.

If true, it's like reliving 2016 with the inexplicable loss in Columbia due, as we later found out, to dissension in the lockerroom. Something was deeply wrong tonight.
And the most loyal fans in college football take the hit. I knew the NIL would work against these schools. Look at Alabama and tonight with Mississippi. Some get paid a fortune and others get paid nothing means storm clouds are brewing. Next thing there will be a college football union. If that happens I’m out.

What are you talking about?

Rewatch the game or read for yourself
After Joe Milton injury, Tennessee football turns to Hendon Hooker at QB

"Hendon Hooker entered in the second quarter after starting Tennessee football quarterback Joe Milton left with an injury against Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Milton was sacked and fumbled on the previous drive. Pitt recovered. He stayed down on the field injured and was evaluated on the sideline. Milton headed to the Tennessee locker room as Hooker ran onto the field with the Vols trailing 17-13.

Milton, a Michigan transfer, has been inconsistent early in his Vols career. He started well against Bowling Green in UT's season opener, completing 9 of 11 passes in the first quarter. He completed only two passes in the final three quarters of UT's 38-6 win."

And where did you hear these "rumors"?

These rumors are all over social media. Might not be true, but this isn't some random 'I heard from my 3rd cousin who heard from a dude who heard from a dude' type stuff.

In any case, tonight emphasizes how our defense has been held together with duct-tape for much of the season. It's amazing it took till this long to see a negative impact. I don't know if Tim Banks is "the guy" or not (Banks inherited a much much worse situation on D than Golesh / Heupel did on O), but if we don't see improvement next season, we might be looking for a new DC.
