Interesting you say this, because I noticed this early in the game. Something seemed off. They lacked passion and determination.

I didn’t see a thread on this, but rumors are Banks was upset about NIL, hasn’t been going to class, and tried fighting Hooker in the locker room this week. Not good, not good at all. If this is true we have a locker room issue.

The good and bad about NIL and 6 figure deals (the good) is animosity (the bad).

Then Heupel would have said he was out for an injury. Injury leader guys make the trip typically for support

Yes and not just the defense but the entire team!!!! Flip it all around to another perspective: look how bad TA&M is sucking this year, but they are “loaded”!!!!

No idea if this is true but I've been expecting this as one of the side effects of NIL. I wouldn't be surprised if this has something to do with aTm's demise this season.

Well it's true his presence wouldn't have made much difference, unless he could simultaneously pressure the QB and cover all receivers at the same time. We have nobody else playing defense tonight.

He’s a difference maker on the field. Having Banks would have changed their game plan some.

I was talking about the other four, not Banks. Banks certainly had flaws, capable of making big plays , but making terrible plays in pass coverage but I agree he was our best playmaking Lb.
