Saw where one of his BFs Mike Griffith said JP would be eligible for a coordinator job next year. Thought he would never be a HC again. He didn’t get in to all the still floating allegations etc.. Not sure if the SEC Brass have moved on but MG felt pretty certain.

MG = Maga Gump (Not Mike Griffith)

I don't even care. We would not be where we are today without him. We would never reach where we are now with him. All of his mistakes got us to Heupel and Danny White faster. No doubt if he was still here we would be battling it out with South Carolina for 6 or 7 wins. Also we wouldn't have been as good as we were last year.

Hard to sympathize with the UT regarding Putz-Pruitt. We seemed dead set on not learning from our lesson. After the Sal Sunseri fail-hire, then dip into Alabama again for yet another red alga apeman, we have only ourselves to blame for such stupidity. Hopefully, the lesson is finally hammered into our heads to steer clear of Bama saboteurs.

It would be so like the NCAA, SEC and Saban to allow him back on an SEC sideline in a coaching role while Tennessee is still on probation for what that POS did...

Does this surprise anyone? They played Fulmer like a smooth violin. The plan was to bury the UT program as far under earth as you could and get paid millions to do it. The initial plan was to do this without getting fired for cause, rather get fired for poor performance to receive the buyout of millions upon millions of dollars. Then, once that happened, Saban would bring him back to Bamer for his reward.

Conspiracy theory? No. They will have have tried literally everything and anything to win, or get a winning edge. Simple google searche will reveal their long storied history of cheating and MUCH worse.....

Name checks out!

I'm betting this is fake news.

A show cause won't just keep him from being a head coach. It will likely keep him from being any kind of coach at the college level. And my guess is, it will be for something like 5 or 7 years, if not even longer.

Bama's not going to hire a fella that they may have to turn right around and let go 3 or 6 months later.

It's just not going to happen, I don't think.

The show cause usually impacts any level of coaching in the collegiate level. However, nothing with the NC2A surprises me so they could issue a head coaching show cause.

I don’t think anyone in college football will touch him because of the violations but if anyone can tell the NCAA to F##K-OFF and actually get away with it; it would be Nick Saban and Alabama.
Yep because he thinks and is treated like that. Screw that old midget.

The BAMA coaching staff is an offshoot of the NXIVM cult.
All these assistants get branded with NS and have to pleasure their leader.

A lot of Bama's defensive problems started when their offense went to a more open and pass happy offense instead of their hard nosed offense with a damn good running game...The defense went from going against that offense in practice to the softer finesse offense....Under the former offense Bama's defense was always one of the best in the country....Much like UGA is now. Saban decided to go to a shootout high scoring offense and his defense has suffered.

I worked on a football staff under a head coach years ago that said and I've never forgotten it...."Show me a soft pass happy offense and I'll show you a soft defense." IMO he was right.

If Pruitt doesn’t get a show cause order then maybe our infractions weren’t as severe as thought and our penalties will be very minor. But I’m still thinking he takes a big hit for his active involvement (my opinion) in the pay for play scheme he was running. It’s funny in a way, he was too much of a control freak to stay away and let his assistant coaches do the cheating so he would have plausible deniability. I think he’s an NFL guy for a while.

Saban literally endorsed Pruitt for the hire
And if I remember correctly, he also endorsed Dooley when he was hired. Tennessee should never hire from the Saban coaching tree. Alabama fans and probably the University itself, hates Tennessee because of the Albert Means thing. They love seeing Tennessee struggling like we have for the last decade and a half.
