Does this surprise anyone? They played Fulmer like a smooth violin. The plan was to bury the UT program as far under earth as you could and get paid millions to do it. The initial plan was to do this without getting fired for cause, rather get fired for poor performance to receive the buyout of millions upon millions of dollars. Then, once that happened, Saban would bring him back to Bamer for his reward.
Conspiracy theory? No. They will and have tried literally everything and anything to win, or get a winning edge. Simple google search will reveal their long storied history of cheating and MUCH worse.....
I'm betting this is fake news.
A show cause won't just keep him from being a head coach. It will likely keep him from being any kind of coach at the college level. And my guess is, it will be for something like 5 or 7 years, if not even longer.
Bama's not going to hire a fella that they may have to turn right around and let go 3 or 6 months later.
It's just not going to happen, I don't think.
Or does it? Or could it mean that Saban puppeteers the NCAA like we have seen for so long? Anyone else who wants to hire him must show why they "Must hire JP" if Saban does it then the NCAA may say who are we to intervene?I kind of hope it happens. If he’s back on the sidelines it means the NCAA isn’t coming down on anyone.
Yeah, let’s go back to good old “hard-nosed” real-man football where we score 20 points a game, like in grandpappy’s day, that’ll show ‘em! Look how well it’s worked for Kentucky!A lot of Bama's defensive problems started when their offense went to a more open and pass happy offense instead of their hard nosed offense with a damn good running game...The defense went from going against that offense in practice to the softer finesse offense....Under the former offense Bama's defense was always one of the best in the country....Much like UGA is now. Saban decided to go to a shootout high scoring offense and his defense has suffered.
I worked on a football staff under a head coach years ago that said and I've never forgotten it...."Show me a soft pass happy offense and I'll show you a soft defense." IMO he was right.

UGA threw 4 passes the whole 2nd half aginst us....Pass happy?Yeah, let’s go back to good old “hard-nosed” real-man football where we score 20 points a game, like in grandpappy’s day, that’ll show ‘em! Look how well it’s worked for Kentucky!
Also Georgia’s offense passes more than they run, so are they “pass-happy”?
Still pass more than they run over the course of the season. Maybe our offense didn’t score because our defense was too “soft” in practice…or maybe it’s absolutely ridiculous to blame one group’s performance on the other.UGA threw 4 passes the whole 2nd half aginst us....Pass happy?
And who said anything about going back? It's a fact the defenses are not as good as they were....Big 12 over the years anyone! Folks use to laugh at that conference because they played no defense....They been burning up the playoffs and nationial championships, huh?....Score points and don't worry about playing defense....And how did our offense do Sat with 6 points after 55 minutes?
