Jimbo sucks! The guy continues to get top 5 talent at FSU but continues to lose to NC State type teams every year. I think it's time to look past a Saban disciple for our next head coach.

fisher is getting probably getting his team to a BCS bowl.. something we havent been able to do in 10+ years

I'm a little skeptical of this guy. Longtime assistant now finally a head man. It doesn't take a genius coach to get talent when you're at a big-name school in florida. The question is, does he do enough with it? He's done reasonably well, maybe a little better than reasonably well--but he's in a weak conference and got whipped by florida. Ummm. Fisher would probably be OK but not sure about special--but special is hard to predict. He does have a lot of recruiting contacts in florida. Is he interested?

he did beat Florida 2 out of 3 years.. I hate to say anything nice about florida but they are good this year. You are right about him being in a weak conference so its really hard to say..I think he might be interested with everything going on in the ACC and some of his staff leaving.

I have a loose knit contact with sexton.

He has been saying fisher is the coach.

I'm no insider just passing along what I was told last week.

I don't think we'll hear or se anything after the big meet up in NY thi weekend. Plus there are a few conference titles going on as well. From what I saw it's also on who will show up but having several in one place beats flying to thier places. I still say Fisher and Fedora are at the top now with Gruden out of the picture.

If Jimbo Fisher is hired, the first thing that needs to happen is the firing of Dave Hart. The second thing that needs to happen is controlled demolition of Neyland stadium, because that will signal the death of the UT football program.

Jimbo Fisher is ****, I want to be on record now. That way if this dumb **** actually does happen nobody can look back in three years when all the halfwits are saying "but he is improving, we went 7-5 this year, you can't fire him" I can look back and say "see, I told you and you didn't listen to me."

The real question with Fisher is would Auburn (who is also in the market for a coach) go after him sooner or later?

I went to FSU. I'm not really a fan of their football program (I was raised a Vol fan and will be one until I die), but I can tell you that none of my fellow alumni who I keep in contact with are really jazzed about Fisher. No one would shed a tear to see him leave. Is that what we want? A guy who can't beat anyone who has more talent and occasionally loses to a team with way less talent?

Jimbo Fisher is Kirk Ferentz and Dan Mullen with a better recruiting base.

OK this is a lot of ifs .. but IF we hire him and IF he starts winning will you say you we wrong? Assuming he could get a great staff.. we have as much chance of winning with him then with most other coaches. At least he understand what it would take to win in the SEC.

Let's look at his record. Including this year his recruiting rankings were #6, #2, #10 and #10 in the country. Total record so far 29-10 and 18-6 in conf. That's an average of over 9 wins per season. Undefeated in bowl game and has a winning record vs Florida.

At this point who cares go after Bobby Petrino for all I care. I just want UT to win again.

after everything thats happend in the past several years .. I would take a 9 win season and that recruiting class any day of week..

No I didn't. I said he doesn't know what to do with those kids once he gets them. He has found a way to lose to at least 1 or more $hitty ACC teams every year. That is a fact.

How many times has he won the ACC? If he can't win that weak ass conference, what makes you think he can win the SEC?

Even if he wins it this year (which they should), their team got beat down by a team that UT beat handily as well as getting put back in their place by UF.

You really want a guy who can't figure out how to beat a second year UF coach with all the talent FSU has?
