It would be such an underwhelming hire. In 5 years we'd be right back to where we are now, looking for a head coach.
If a coach can't win in the ACC with BY FAR the most talented team then how in the hell does anyone think he could win in the SEC? Simply mind blowing to me.

Velo you're being nice. Not only does he not have a whole lot to show, he doesn't have $hit to show except for always losing to lesser teams every year.
I understand people wanting to know who the coach will be. But the last time we rushed to make a hire we got Dooley, so I'll give Hart all the time he needs to make a good hire.

Jimbo is not in my top 5 but he is better than a lot of coaches that are listed. Would rather have him then Golden are Dykes.

If we hire any of those we as a fan base should be upset. We have an opportunity to make a good hire. Dave knows how important this hire is for the school and his tenure as UT AD.

Jimbo has killed in recruiting at FSU . Yeah they turned it over and lost to the gators, just like USC Jr got blown out by the gators by coughing it up multiple times. So spurrier must be awful too. That Fla d is sick .

Far be it from me to be upset about getting a coach who will have his team in the top 15, and a roster full of NFL players. If Jimbo is what we end up with I will be pleased.

He has done a great job recruiting Fl kids to FSU but hasn't done dick with it. Also this year he got beat by NC State. Remember the team we blew away?
Every year he's been there he's lost to a $hitty team. He is a chronic under achiever.

If he can't win the ACC with by FAR the best roster in the conf. What makes you think his under achieving a$$ can win the SEC?

Ya FL kids TO FSU. What an amazing feat. People think his recruiting wouldn't go down if you pull him out of the best high school state in the country.

You have a good point given the top recruits he has landed maybe he has under achieved. But 29-10 overall record in his 3 yrs there while not great isn't bad. again this is if we don't get Gruden.

Not that impressive when you look at the talent gap his teams have had against a terrible ACC. He's a chronic under achiever and would be middle of the pack coach in the SEC.
