So Joe took over and lumber prices were skyrocketing. 6 months later and they are declining and you're blaming him. Where are you hearing they are going to settle in at double?

Lumber prices are roughly back to where they were on the first day of Biden's term ($700). They more than doubled under Trump, and in fact were over $900 at one point under Trump.

They just want something--anything--that they can pun on Biden.

Like I said, they're rooting for the economy to fail. True patriots.

they weren't skyrocketing - they actually came down in mid January and skyrocketed after Joe took office (March - May).

1) Cherry pick data in a snapshot in time and claim it shows dismal failure of current or past administration.


2) Point out that other side is cherry picking data from a snapshot in time to unfairly claim dismal failure by current or past administration.


Jeez people, the recovery is going to be uneven with many weird bumps along the way. Everyone knows this.

This what it is about @ClearwaterVol . She very disingenuously attacked lumber costs, posted a bunch of links not supporting her diatribe, then doubled down as this was caused by some near term miraculous housing boom … which again failed under scrutiny, then settled on the $700 final price estimate for an unearned victory lap… which bham them pointed out was still higher than when Biden took office and is roughly 2x the historical price for a stable commodity product. It was all rather hilarious and worthy of continual revisiting.
