Joe isn't the most disappointing on the team

And that timing takes time to learn. And it can only be perfected in game speed situations. Practices and scrimmages won’t do that.
Milton sort of has that timing down with Bru and Squirrel. Thornton especially will just take time. Keyton is the big unknown so far. He has shown moments of brilliance interspersed with inexplicable drops.

Agree for the most part. Maybe someone can help me…I don’t recall Keyton dropping a catchable pass at all last season? This season, he has one drop in each of our two games, I believe, plus a fumble, right? Or is it one drop and one fumble? Either way, not a good start for one of our three “money” receivers. I believe he’s currently finding his missing mojo and our receivers will be money once again this Saturday…if Joe throws money to them.

I don't know what game you watched, but Joe threw it behind or over the receivers half the time they went downfield. HOWEVER, If Keyton catches that bomb, things would have gone totally different, but is Joe that fragile? Hope not, the swamp is not for the faint of heart (or mind) DROPS were a factor too, Keyton, Small & Thornton. "Do your Job"!
I didn't watch the game, my comment was about his game against Virginia. Sorry I wasn't more clear about that.

So just ignore all the throws behind the receiver and the ones they have to slow way down to try and have it come near them.? If so then yes, you are spot on
I didn't watch the game so I don't know how many balls were off target, however, so many on here were talking about how he overthrew wide open receivers. Now he is under throwing them so they have to slow down. Some folks on here are gonna rag him regardless.

There’s a big difference if you’re running full speed across the middle and you have to reach back as far as you can for it to hit you in the hands and having to reach up or out in front with your momentum going towards the ball.
So yeah just because it hits your hands doesn’t mean it’s catchable.
If you wanna be an NFL guy it sure does. I will take what Fred White says about the expectations over Volnation. Being has lived it, most of us are spectators. Some played the game at a high level. Is it a difficult catch yes. But it is expected at the next level

7 ft long arms and catcher mitt hands to catch the 90mph ball thrown 5 ft behind you while crossing the field

You might wanna watch again. There were some bad balls. But you gotta make catches when you get 2 hands on them.

He’s only a 7th year senior but I suppose this is an opportunity to coach him up.
where did the 7th year come in; I'll hang up & listen? I just count 6 but maybe you count different.

I would say further since you're using it in a figurative distance. We want to get this right.

I’m using it in a development timeline. If he was going to be special he would have been already. 6 years? 7 years? It really doesn’t matter at this point. 🤣😂

Thats still a figurative time, hang in there you'll figure it out one of these days. Just a matter of time.

Lol. You’re the one that seems lost. No wait….you’re the one that’s figuratively lost.

Exactly. This ain’t the next level. Some of these guys “might “ get to the next level and it’ll be expected. That’s why their paid millions.
On this level all you can do is hope they pull in some of them.

IT is reported that Joe was only 1 completion in the first 7 passes. I was at the game, and 4 of those were very catch-able passes that the receivers just dropped, and one to Squirrel was just a little high but probably catch-able also. No excuse in receivers dropping those balls, not Joe's fault.

"Overthrow Joe" it could become a thing if he doesn't correct his mental attitude about what he's trying to accomplish while throwing a football to another player. We all know you have the strongest arm in college football. Now lets see how accurate you can become and how good you can become at reading and exploiting defenses.
"Overthrow Joe" is a proven fact... he needs to develop from a thrower to a passer very quickly.. Given he is a 6th year Senior.. I am not optimistic
