Joe Milton 💪

I doubt anyone has forgot, but this kid has a Cannon for an arm.. he threw it 55 or 60 yds, off balance & moving to his right, & almost complete it... I hope he learns to get a little more accurate, know when to take some heat off the ball, & he'll be just fine next year

We didn't win by it, but we scored FIDDY!

He hit a dude IN THE HANDS at like 50+ yards. How much more accurate could he be?!

We will see. I hope you're right but I think Milton will still sail too many passes, resulting in TOs and he will struggle in crunch time. I'd love to be wrong
I want to see how he does on Qb runs like Hooker does and also with the hurry up offense Hooker runs

I wasn't talking about the accuracy of that pass. I actually gave him some serious love for making such a great throw.

I think you misinterpreted that part

I think I used that word right 😂😂

I really want Milton to turn into a force. I don't know what it is about that kid but I like him and want to see him succeed so badly. I've actually wondered if he could be a TE or something. He's got the size and strength. Although I'd rather see him throwing bombs.

It's called having an exceptional attitude and being a total team player.

Tough to teach accuracy and touch.

I hope we get back to back Heisman winners out of Hooker and Milton but I am still skeptical of Milton.

He does look like he has matured a lot from the first of last season though. Glad to have him on the team.

I was just giving you crap cause it was beyond ridiculous how close that play actually ended up being
All good, I gotcha, the accuracy part was me talking about his growth from being the starter last year, to possibly being the starter next year. Hoping he's learned from those miscues he had early on. I'm sure he's getting coached up good, and can't wait to see him turn into the QB everyone thinks he can be.

Hes always reminded me of Cam Newton, and I think he can be that type of player

I don't know where you're getting this confidence that Milton has gained gray matter in the head and accuracy in his arm. I think it's wishful thinking not grounded in evidence. That said, I do hope you're right
I think the overthrows and boneheaded plays came from panic, not from a lack of skill or intelligence. And that can be fixed. I look for Milton to be hell on wheels next year.

I think Joe Milton will be a solid quarterback in 2023 and 10-2 could be very possible in 2023.
Next Spring, we will have 3 good QBs fighting for the position. Everyone assumes that Milton will be the guy, but he will have to earn it. The competition will likely be extreme. It will be interesting to see what happens during the Spring and Summer.

In my uneducated opinion, I think Milton has a better arm than Hooker. What makes Hendon so good is his savvy and poise. And, he has a tremendous instinct for when to leave the pocket and get downfield.

Hooker was a much better QB at VT than Milton was at Michigan. Truth be told, Hooker was pretty good at VT; they just didn't know how to use him. Milton was awful at Michigan.

I'm impressed by Milton's progress this year, but I'm still skeptical of whether he'll ever be a gamer. Hope he's great next year, but tough to judge accuracy off 2 or 3 passes. And his decision-making has never been on par with Hooker's. I'm optimistic and skeptical about Milton at the same time, but Heup is a QB whisperer, so you never know.
Fuente was constantly changing QBs, always trying to disco one instead of develop one. Hooker was the best he had and he should have developed him instead of pushing him aside. One of several reasons he is no longer coaching.

The throw was actually really good. Wr got his hands on it. I think it was Bru, he just couldn’t pull it down. Milton’s deep ball has never really been that much in question. He just needs to show he can execute the offense when the game gets tight. It’s all mental, kid has every physical tool to be successful.
HE THREW A GREAT PASS

I know this has been discussed, but JM actually got that pre-halftime ball right on the money. I'll bet if you ask Bru, he would say he absolutely should have caught it. That was an amazing throw under the circumstances and i for one think jm is coming on strong......just my feeling

The ball was in Bru's hand for a second
If that was completed. Game would have been a blowout, we won is all that matters

I really don't see him as our future. He's never going to have the smarts and clutch gene to lead this team to the heights that we now expect. I could be wrong but I don't see him being that guy. For example, I don't see him ever being capable of doing watch HH did with 15 secs left yesterday
You are wrong. He’s gonna be the man next year.

You seem to forget Hooker looked like garbage in last years spring game and also made several overthrows himself.

Many people, including Hooker, have said that he’s one of the best pure athletes on the team. If he can just reel in that cannon a little he could have a successful year and I really hope that it happens for him. It would give Nico a year to get comfortable in the system and I would love to see Milton get some redemption. There’s something to be said for the character of a young man who loses his starting job but sticks it out and continues to help in any way that he can.

In the limited action I've seen from Milton this season, he seems more poised in the pocket, and when he does run, he puts his shoulder down and initiates the contact instead of shying away from it. I think the best thing to happen for him was Hooker taking the job and Milton getting more time to develop. As others has said, he has been right on target with the long throws, and the short throws are no problem. I think he still needs to work on touch for screens or quick outs. I think he's gonna be fine next season.
