Is this from Maggards site or you see it somewhere else?
No, I wouldn't believe Maggard if he told me the sky was blue. He has screwed up so much this weekend its not funny.
I probably should have stated it as rumor. It was reported by our recruiting analyst @ WCN. He heard it on Memphis Radio.
No confirmed links or sources as of yet, I'm still searching.
I think it is an example of the egocentrisim that is the Kentucky Basketball program. I mirror it to the New York Yankees signing a huge contract during the World Series they arent playing in, or the Dallas Cowboys releasing some high profiled player during the Superbowl they arent playing in. It could have waited a week.
I know Uk will figure it out but where in the world are the scholarships going to come from if Wall (I know he might end up at Baylor) and Cousins and Dennis (wants to follow Cal) come with Calipari as well as the current UK recruits all want to come to UK still.
Quit hating. Look at the situation logically, every DAY that goes by without anything done, is another day lost in keeping your continuity in recruiting. Also, it leaves more time for the unforseeable to happen. Thats the business end of it my friend.
I don't see you hating on Alabama for hiring Grant a few days ago. I don't see you hating on Arizona during its search.
If you hate Kentucky thats fine, but don't act like its them flexing their muscle to take away the spotlight from the final four. Please.
I actually think this is great for UT. Look, Kentucky was probably gonna get a good coach anyway. Might as well hurt Memphis in the process. This leaves the floodgates open for Bruce to recruit the Memphis area. The Memphis basketball program has taken a major step back.
I think Daniel Orton goes elsewhere. You can count on the fact that Gillispie sold him on the "we run the offense through you big man" pitch, and thats not the style Cal will run.
I think Cal will turn down Konner Tuckers verbal, since he has not signed a LOI.
MAYBE, (though not confirmed) you see a few transfers. I think you definately would have if BCG had stayed, but now I'm not so sure. Either way, its going to be a tight squeeze.
Please dont try to sell me the idea that Kentucky views itself in the same realm of the powerhouse that is (holding back tears of laughter) Alabama basketball. You guys take yourself and your program wayyyy too serious. I wouldnt "hate" on Kentucky because frankly, your descion making ability makes it far too much of an easy target.
