John Calipari to KY (merged)

Yet, if UT lost the same way to a 27-2 Kentucky team twice instead of the crappy KY team that they put on the court, I'd wager the seed would have been higher because the league would have been perceived as somewhat stronger. Even though we obviously wouldn't have the SEC East "title." Perception is reality. If UT had a 7 seed, who knows what would have happened.

Like I said we were right were we belonged. If you think otherwise you didnt watch this team all year.

He did, in reply to my post saying that Cal was interested in coming to UK. lol

But instead of arguing with the unstoppable force that is Hat, I just waited for this to happen... so that I could bring it back up, and have him tell me to go kill myself.

You have caught on fast. :)

No doubt. If the SEC was a stronger league I'm not sure UT would have had a good enough record to be in the tournament anyway.

I dont think there is any doubt that we would not have had the record. Watching the Big East and ACC showed me just how far behind we are.

How many times can the Pitt-Hydes and the Fed Ex folks get squeezed dry?

In case you ever get to meet the man. It's not "the Pitt-Hydes". It's one person - his name is J.R. "Pitt" Hyde. Founder of Auto Shack - or as we know it today, AutoZone.

Fair enough. I am a NAPA guy myself so the odds of me running into him are pretty slim. :)

"If" didn't happen and personally I don't think UT would have magicially gotten better if they had a 7 seed. All that would have changed was they'd lose to a 10 seed instead of an 8 seed.

I'd like to add that I disagree with all of this going on during the height of the NCAA tournament. The stage belongs to those still in contention.
