I actually think this is great for UT. Look, Kentucky was probably gonna get a good coach anyway. Might as well hurt Memphis in the process. This leaves the floodgates open for Bruce to recruit the Memphis area. The Memphis basketball program has taken a major step back.
Cal is going to take his blue chippers with him too sounds like:

I went to UM...it doesn't leave the floodgates open because most kids there favor staying at home or close by. Plus, Cal's going to still recruit in those Memphis homes for KY. Nothing's changed from that perspective.
If Cal does sign which seems inevitable at this point,he'd better hire him the best contract attorney(s) money can buy. Kentucky has just shown by removing their Coach Gil having only 2 years how they roll, although I here Coach Gil stands to get a Phillip Fulmer type buy-out.Cal didn't go to tourney until 5 years after arriivng at Memphis, he'd be better off staying at Memphis because I seriously doubt he gets the same talent their as he does in Memphis. Kentucky's a has-been program IMO.
Interesting that KY hadn't asked MEM permission to talk with him as of this morning.
