Offense only had the ball 8 minutes in the 2nd half. The defense was on the field for 22 minutes. Thats a long half.

yep when you tackle like a bunch of Catholic schoolgirls you're gonna be on the field for a while!

Nope I disagree..they are way more talented than Tennessee..we just couldn't tackle a fence post tonight!..Or last week for that matter!

well if they were way more talented than us then our future is more grim than i thought because they are just going to get better. i thought we played to conservative most series on offense. on D fisher beat chavis up one side and down the other. on a team that couldn't score more than 3 points against auburn.

The Accountability comes to your doorstep now, Big boy. You've been somewhat "untouchable", for whatever reason. but after that Piss-Poor performance tonight (I personally counted FIFTEEN missed tackles on key plays) your number is up. The Vol defense makes mistakes that simply shouldn't be made.

We crucified Sanders (and rightfully so) and continually wonder when Fulmer's time is up. but both losses this year fall (I feel) to the Defense.

There, consider this a vent and discard it if you like.
Dude, this is the most irresponsible thing i have seen on this board. Our d kept us in this thing with the turnovers. We only scored when we threw up prayers for Robert Superman Meachem to get. So what we gave up a lot of yards and drives. This LSU team is probably the most talented and fastet team in the nation. Dont point fingers at Chavis. He has held this team together to many times.

May be a vent but its the truth.

Who is #24's (the player doesn't deserve his name on here).back-up? He is horrible Hefney and Wade and even Morley played their butts off. Every time I saw him he was chasing his man or tackling like a Jr High JV kid......surely we have someone else of that caliber.....

Antwan Stewart is his name.

I think he is a fine player. Supposed to be playing safety though. Had to change b/c of Inky getting hurt.

chavis just runs a system that will do that from time to time... the tennessee secondary always wants the INT and it burned us a couple times tonight. But way more times that not it's very successful... Tonight though we just gave up to many key plays on third and most importantly fourth down... overall though i'm still excited for next year, and after seeing crompton i'm really excited for the next 3 years

Yes, the Vols played good enough to come back and have over half the total yards that LSU did.

does it really matter much in the end. we lost at home as usual to another ranked sec team, and we are out of the sec race and bcs again. like all tennessee fans are now used to saying. there is always next year for the same thing to happen again.:clapping:

i thought your defense played their guts out, pressured JR into mistakes and forced to's. no reason to hang their heads.

What about that peep-squeak running back that we couldn't bring down? Poor tackling lost that game...no if's ands or buts! Period!

Chavis should not be in any trouble right now.
The Defensive Backs coach should be in big trouble. I can't understand why we can continue to put up with his lack of ability. He evidently does not know much about the defensive secondary and he really does not have a clue as to how too tackle. I sorry but I blame this loss on the last minute of the game. We decided to crawl back into our shell and let our very talented but terribly undercoached secondary run around like chickens with their heads chopped off and rush four so that Russell can pick us apart.

I hate to critical but defensive coaches, shame on you:furious3: .

Most catholic schoolgirls would have trouble tackling someone 6'6" and 260 lbs.

Maybe so, but letting him scramble for 40 yards because the defence has not one iota of the concept of "CONTAIN" added with the Catholic school girl tackling is bad news.

One thing that would've changed the direction of this game is Inky and Justin being in the game. Congratulations on the win but not too much..

Another thing......

Anyone see the D on the TD run by LSU. It was a misdirection. Every player on our D took 2 steps towards the left. Even the DB's on the right side of the field.

If they stood their ground (MORLEY) that guy is brought down at the 10 yard line. I'm tired of this D "being over agressive" some say thats good I think it's being un-disiplined and asking for disaster.
