John Chavis, Call your Office.

Go be an Alabama fan, "big boy". For you to call for Chavis's head after getting beat in the last seconds by a better (yes better) team screams "look at me, i'm a bammer!!"

This ought to be stickied for the dumbest post award.

Look here, try reading the whole thread where I clarify that I am NOT CALLING FOR CHAVIS' HEAD!!!!! Apparently you are not employed, or you would understand that there is a level of accountability (too big a word for ya?) in ANY profession. if you are a supervisor and your division performs poorly, you are going to get (at least) yelled at. Period.

and Good God, I hadn't even thought about the fact that we play the Piglets next week. maybe tonight will wake us up, which has to happen before we give up 250+ on the ground.

Their second touchdown.....LSU has two, yes two, 3rd and 15 as well as a 3rd and 10 and they convert all three. 3 for 3. Chavis is a fine coach and does a fine job but the DB coach sucks!!!!! How do you let a team convert like that and say we played well. Also, where in the hell was the crazy d line like in the first half? We were all over the backfield in the first half yet in the second half Russell had all day. My opinion, prevent D! Same thing happened in the Florida game. 17-7 and lets change everything and preserve the lead. Great Job! Worked just as well as the Florida game.

Chill out yall, if we win out we still get a good bowl game, possibly in Florida, and I can't wait to spend my New Year's in Florida...

The kid has a point here. He never went after his head. And he did say accountability which is exactly as he explained it. So yeah I get exactly what your trying to say man.

The Accountability comes to your doorstep now, Big boy. You've been somewhat "untouchable", for whatever reason. but after that Piss-Poor performance tonight (I personally counted FIFTEEN missed tackles on key plays) your number is up. The Vol defense makes mistakes that simply shouldn't be made.

We crucified Sanders (and rightfully so) and continually wonder when Fulmer's time is up. but both losses this year fall (I feel) to the Defense.

There, consider this a vent and discard it if you like.

I totaly agree with you. We have been treading thin ice for a longtime and time ran out on us today. Our O - line and D - line coaches should put their homes up for sale if this continues. Even the games we have won, we still were dominated by our opponents on the ground !

UT had the no 2 rushing defense in the nation last year. Its not they forgot how to coach run defense in one year.

3rd and longs? How about the 4th and 8.

All night they ran the same plays when it was must need.

WR- 10 and In-Route (usually on Antwan Stewart)

WR- Middle Screen

Our DLine coach Brooks, is one of the best, if not the best DL coaches in the nation.

We have one of the best D-Line coaches in the nation. Coaching has nothing to do with the fact that our D-line is weak.

I never saw a good angle on the replay, but it looked to me like we came sickeningly close to batting down that ball on the last 4th down conversion.

Anybody watching Arkansas right now?

This is not good. I have a feeling next weekend is going to be rough.

Yeah we forced turnovers so on and such......but comming into this game they were Avg. 6.5 points a game on the road against top 10 teams (you know what we aim for every year)

They put up a big 28 spot on us. Something stinks and someone is going to be held accountable for this.

Guys I am FREAKING SICK of the "Bend but don't Break" Defense. In 98' we had a Defense that just dominated and they wanted to just rip your head off and knock you 10 yards back. What has happened since then?? Not much honestly. Our rushing D is sucking it up, when we used to be Top 10 in the nation. And why isn't our guys playing closer to the line?? It makes no sense when you have the athletes we have to be playing off of the ball as much as we do. Take the TD at the end of the game tonight for example. ALL of our guys were NO WHERE near the middle of the field next to the goal-line. WHY??? You can't get in the endzone when you play close to the goalline 98% of the time.

Chavis buddy, you are a good coordinator, but PUT YOUR PLAYERS IN A POSTITION TO GUARD THE FREAKING LINE!!!! I know that we played our hearts out, but we played that crappy FLEX D and got burned PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Take the Defense out of your playbook Chavis. You should have rushed 6-7 guys on that 4 & 8. Instead you dropped back 5 yards BEHIND THE FIRST DOWN MARKER. Anyways guys, we have a good team, they are just TOO CONSERVATIVE on D now and need to get back to CRACKING HEADS and NOT TAKING NAMES.

The 4th and 8 was actually a well defended play in the secondary. Russell just put the ball in a perfect place.
We came within an eyelash of batting it down.

I know that.....but we only rushed 4-5 guys when we should have brought the house and not gave them time to get past the first down marker.

I really thought this game was going into overtime.
