Urban Dictionary defines it as this:

trolling

Trolling is the act of purposefully antagonizing other people on the internet, generally on message boards. When done in a moderated internet community, this can result in banning.

Hmmmm.

Hmmmmmm Brings up the issue as to whether or not the entire thread should be deleted. I don't like half hearted half informed "fans" trying to further erode fan support. IMHO

Then leave the thread where you feel that is taking place. Or continue trolling.

Wonder which you'll do?

For some in this thread who portrayed Gruden as a done deal, there sure are a lot of other coaches names being thrown out. Is it to throw the general public off or did Hart mess up?

Yea like Muschamp after Fulmer was fired. Don't forget Lovie & Gruden. I forget who did we end up with?

None. Impatient fans have always been a part of the game. Wouldn't have it any other way. Troll on!:salute:

Funny. So the school should take all the risk? If the wrong hire is made, the school is stuck. Doesn't take 5 years to figure that out which is why schools don't make those type of contracts. Mistakes are made all the time in hiring. When they are, your type of iron clad contracts binds you. No reason for the coach to give a crap when he's losing. Can ride out the remaining years. Not a very smart business decision.

"We're plugging along," he said. "The No. 1 thing we needed to do here was become competitive for 60 minutes. There were so many games here that were over so early.

"Really, we're going through the transition of learning how to fight for 60 minutes. I think they're doing that. … You can't be frustrated. You realize it's going to take some time."

Who does this sound like?

Saban's record at Mich St

1995 6/5
1996 6/6
1997 7/5
1998 6/6
1999 9/2

JM is a very good offensive minded coach. Several coordinators from the Pats have gone to HC jobs in college.

I'm all in for Gruden, however, I would love to approach JM.

Saban's conference record in his first three years at MSU- 13-10-1. Dooley is 4-14 and counting.

just to be objective, you need to look at playing 4 top 10 teams within the conference last year and 4 again this year. I doubt the ole big 10 had anyone outside of Michigan and Ohio state that was any good, and we see how good they have been against SEC opponents.

How well did Saban recruit in his first three years at MSU, relative to the rest of his conference? Perhaps people could see the talent level improving to the point that they could compete with the top teams in their league.

Michigan State was under NCAA sanctions when Saban took over.

Also, people keep throwing out the early-career records of some of the greatest coaches in the game. That's as useful as me digging up the records of coaches who had three .500 seasons followed by a steep decline.

Things that bum me out:

#1 - When I'm reading the thread of peace, hope and love on my phone, I'm caught up on the posts and hit refresh.... And then, nothing.. No more posts yet. What do I read then?
