Just to keep things fair and balanced here is a quote from Shaun King, starting Bucs QB in '99, '00.

The ultimate issue, King said, is Gruden’s inability to tell the truth to the grown men who populate an NFL locker room. Specifically, King said Gruden is “inherently dishonest.”

“From a relationship level I think Jon failed,” King said, echoing things that folks in Tampa publicly have said about Gruden for years. Specifically, Gruden had a reputation within the walls of the building of saying one thing and doing another.

Whether its true or not are you the same person you were 12 years ago?

I am certainly still accountable for them, regardless.

It all depends on how high an alter you have erected for Gruden I suppose.

I understand accountability. But doesn't mean you make same decisions now

Dooley could be high on his own alter. But he's not doing it.

For those who don't have an avatar or would like to change their present one, may I suggest one of the pics below:

My personal favorite is the first one b/c that is the famous "Chucky" look or one of them anyway.

Not this time..Sometimes I like lemon and sometimes I don't..Actually I would prefer a little Gruden-Aide to add to my sweet tea..That's the closest I will come to a mixed drink until Gruden is hired as the UT coach.:)

Sounds like a plan. Little fried chicken, fried okra, gravy and biscuits with sweet tea.

Just the way mama would make it

Old news. Let not your heart be troubled.....have you ever been to Fayetteville?

Yeah I live in ft smith arkansas about 45 mins from there. It's nothing compared to Knoxville.

However I wouldn't be suprised to see piggies go after him. They need someone to calm the masses here.

But piggie fans I'm friends all say if Gruden was to go back to coaching it would be Tennessee.

"Where there's smoke....."

This is how it started with Fulmer, remember? The mistake back then was waiting too long to pull the trigger. I can understand why that happened. Dooley does not have the record, the support, or the "equity" that Fulmer had. His leash is much, much shorter.

I think Dooley is coaching for his job in October. Anything less than 2-2, and it's a coin flip if Dooley is retained.

I think he knows that, and the staff knows that, or they at least suspect it. That said, we'll find out tomorrow night, and against Bama and USCe, if this staff has what it takes to win in the SEC.

Go Vols.

Shouldn't matter what Dooleys record is if Gruden is available. You do not pass up a chance to land Gruden. It would be huge, and we would instantly become feared again while racking in the money!

You,sir, are nothing but an internet bully who needs to get a life..You are simply here to provoke and belittle other posters..If you are Anti-Gruden, then why in the hell are you here? What to tell us how much you hate him and that he will NEVER coach at UT?Guess what?? You have told us the same freakin' crap a hundred times..We get it, now get lost!

WOW, well thought out response.:eek:lol:
