Just to keep things fair and balanced here is a quote from Shaun King, starting Bucs QB in '99, '00.
The ultimate issue, King said, is Grudens inability to tell the truth to the grown men who populate an NFL locker room. Specifically, King said Gruden is inherently dishonest.
From a relationship level I think Jon failed, King said, echoing things that folks in Tampa publicly have said about Gruden for years. Specifically, Gruden had a reputation within the walls of the building of saying one thing and doing another.
Not this time..Sometimes I like lemon and sometimes I don't..Actually I would prefer a little Gruden-Aide to add to my sweet tea..That's the closest I will come to a mixed drink until Gruden is hired as the UT coach.![]()
Old news. Let not your heart be troubled.....have you ever been to Fayetteville?
"Where there's smoke....."
This is how it started with Fulmer, remember? The mistake back then was waiting too long to pull the trigger. I can understand why that happened. Dooley does not have the record, the support, or the "equity" that Fulmer had. His leash is much, much shorter.
I think Dooley is coaching for his job in October. Anything less than 2-2, and it's a coin flip if Dooley is retained.
I think he knows that, and the staff knows that, or they at least suspect it. That said, we'll find out tomorrow night, and against Bama and USCe, if this staff has what it takes to win in the SEC.
Go Vols.

What to tell us how much you hate him and that he will NEVER coach at UT?Guess what?? You have told us the same freakin' crap a hundred times..We get it, now get lost!
