Damn, it really has gotten quiet, i won't be able to take this.

I really hope that announcement is tomorrow but i don't think it's likely.

Seriously.

IF there is a deal in place and IF the decision has already been made, then making an announcement right before our biggest game of the year would be maniacal.

Does everybody not remember the last time we did this? Let me refresh memories:

WE LOST TO THE U OF WYOMING! AT HOME!

It is one thing to want to re-energize the fan base for a game, but it would cause such mental turmoil for the team that we could very well lose to Alabama by 70.

Regardless of how you feel about Dooley, any sane person would understand that it should be business as usual until after the next 2 games.

Might as well do it before a game we know were gonna lose either way.

We're not winning, let's hurry up and get the cancer out and let the next coach :)whistling:) hit the ground running.

Patience....you're gonna have to buy some Just for Men at the pace you're going. We still have Bama and SCar this month and Dooley knows he needs one of them to survive.

It always gets quiet before a storm. Trust me from decades of watching coaching changes and searches if you are anti the current administration then a period of quiet just after a blowup is what you want. Its when the talking stops that things happen, and they are happening all the same even in silence. Gruden is not a done deal by any means, but at this point that reality is closer than at any point in the past.

Correct.

However if he loses both then an interim HC should finish the season. Keeping him in place with all of the swirling negativism would be worse than letting everyone including recruits know that a new coach will be in place by 12/1.

I told you it would be. Just wait.

After the SC game.

EVERYONE I have talked to has said the same thing. It got quiet because things are actually happening, more than just talk. Be patient, but barring something astronomical like winning out Dooley will not be in orange in 2013.

I still think 8-4 keeps him in. But now 8-4 must include one of the 2 currently best looking teams in the SEC. It also involves beating one of the two best coaches in the SEC... and whoever #3 is they aren't very close to #2.
