Jones flips Foreman from Vandy to Vols!!!

I sure do not like taking two star players just to fill a roster. However, buTch knows what he is doing I am sure.

The kid scored 35 touchdowns last year. Subjectively gripe all you want but you can't objectively gripe about this signing.

I am sick of these people on here not knowing what they are talking about. These 2 kids come from the winningest highschool in the state of TN. Both are very talented with speed and leg strength. Malik has had offers from Clemson and Va Tech. Clemson got the last talent out of D-B and he is now in the NFL. North Carolina got the one before that and he is also in the NFL and both are playing week in and week out. Malik has the best field vision I have seen in years. His speed and vision is incredible.

I would suggest that you find another team to support---Bama needs more fans like you ace.
This kid will not play at 170.
And have you seen him play? I didnt think so.
He is definitely SEC material.

Looking at our current returning CBs the average is about 5-11, 180.

Yes I do, and while your making that list, ill make an even longer list out of our 5 stars who didnt pan out, and how many 3 stars from UT are now in the NFL. ill throw 1 out there to get it rolling.....Arian Foster (former 3* now starting AFC Pro Bowl RB this year), Oh and how did Janzen Jackson work out?

I like your attitude! :clapping:

Hope this is true but am I the only one that questions this source? The article has a couple of questionable grammatical choices and doesn't say anything that this kid's recruiting forum thread didn't already say. No quotes from Foreman, etc. Not saying it's not true. I'll just feel better when it is confirmed.

Kenny Hawkins is reliable and trustworthy. He is not going to report something unless he is sure about it.

I don't mind giving Malik a scholarship but he doesn't have an offer from Clemson or Va Tech. Not sure I would be complaining about people that didn't know what they were talking about.

Both are exceptions, not the rule and you know it. If 3*s win championships then why isn't Bama all over this dude? Logic is your friend.

Just because Bama isnt recruiting him doesnt mean he cant play !!! Bama may not NEED any defensive backs in the 2013 class. If you watched our team play a game this year, you will see that we need ALL the help we can get at defensive back. And he can return kicks and play slot receiver if needed. I saw him play games in 2011 and 2012. He can play !! Speed and a nose for the football. He is a great kid from a good family. Guess we will all have to wait and see, but I personally think he can make a contribution to the Vols. JMO

He did not yet have offers from Clemson or VA Tech but both schools were trying to get in on him late. I know this for a fact.

I believe the star rankings come from which camps the kids go to. If a kid doesn't go to a certain camp, then the sponsor of that camp won't rank them very high. Again, I believe that is correct. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm sure someone on here will. Those camps are just that though. They are camps. Not games. I'll take a coaches opinion from watching a kid play in a game and seeing how they react in certain situations. Will Malik and Devaun workout for UT? I don't know and neither does anyone on here. Do I think they can help out? Yes!! But, I'm a little biased with them being hometown kids and from my alma mater. Both kids can play. I like having them at UT. Witten, Gerald Sensabaugh, and Coty Sensabaugh all came from the same area as these 2. Coty didn't play for UT, but is playing on Sundays. Let them play for UT before you start dismissing them. You never know. They could be the "diamonds in the rough" that everyone talks about. I'm just happy to finally have a HC at UT that does what he says.

These guys are a fantastic duo. I watched them destroy Tennessee High School (Where Mack Crowder and Brendan Downs played), racking up over 70 points. Foreman really impressed me in person; I'm really glad that Coach Jones is giving these guys a shot. I would not have been able to stand seeing Foreman succeed at Vandy instead of Tennessee. Congrats to these talented guys.

First of all these kids know football. Second they have the one thing you cannot coach. Speed and this is something we need and bad. I was sitting at the Arby's Classic bball tourney with a few family members of his high school and we were talking about what the chances UT could get him to switch. This guy turns around and says never gonna happen because Franklin won his mom over and she would not let it happen ever. Then i hear Friday he switched late. That guy can kiss it. Jones doing work. In an interview last night he said Coach Jones was someone he could trust and seemed like the real deal. Welcom to the Nation boys! Keep up the good work CBJ!
