Not sure that Tennessee fans need Coach Butch telling them how to cheer. They need Coach Butch to give them something to cheer about. Third down stops would be good for a change. Fans might go fist pumping crazy.

He is a lot like a hungry, young Philip Fulmer IMO.

By the way folks--nothing wrong with the 3-4...It was Donahue's defense for the SUGAR VOLS of 1985!

We just didn't have the personnel or the DC to run it!

People forget that we struggled mightily when we switched from the 3-4 to the 4-3 around 1990, I think.

Like the FIST UP idea....Maybe everyone could buy a big orange glove to wear! :salute:

We played pretty well against them for one half in K-town...with NOTHING! I expect our O-Line to DOMINATE their D-line--and we will put some points on the board! Just not certain how our D will perform against them for 4 Quarters....but it will be a competitive game....GO VOLS!:salute:

I bet you've never played a down of FB in your life...He's actually INVOLVING the fans and giving a rip about us! Looking back--CDD had me fooled and ultimately didn't care about anything but his own arse.

These guys have bought into EVERYTHING VOLS! Why can't you??? GO VOLS! :salute:

I have bought into my Vols way back in the mid 80's - long before the best bearcat staff in America bought into them.
They say they are blue collar - if thats the case they need to shut up and stop jumping up and down until they actually accomplish something. If they finished with an amazing recruiting class I could sort of understand the excitement. Also, I'm sick of hearing about record number of twitter followers and stupid stuff like that. A blue collar coach would not do that - Lane Kiffin would.

I was going to ask you to go to Eugene with me and the Vol faithful, but we'll just support our team without you.
Look for us on tv, we'll be the ones in orange.

ha! I actually have one of those Hulk fist that holds a beer in it from Hooters yrs ago. It's not UT orange but orange nonetheless. :good!:

I don't like the fact that the Tennessee football coach wants to copy Vanderbilt's 4th quarter hand gestures! Tennessee already has something!!!!! The only school where the fans SING THE FIGHT SONG! It's what makes Saturday's in Tennessee so special! Please CBJ we should be above copying James Franklin! Your the coach at Tennessee at least honor our traditions!

I think at Tennessee right now he needs to worry about recruiting, his football team. And how in the world he is going to compete in this league. Not what the fans are doing. I guess the fans are to blame? If we all just got together the last few years and just raised our hands things would be better.

Tennessee has won championships before. The fans didn't need to be told to do hand gestures by the coaching staff to make it happen.

Don't get me wrong here. Apparently, some can't read a post & understand what was said in that post. I'm all in for our TN Vols in every game but there's some that we will have no chance with because of better talent than what we have to play with in those games. Oregon, Alabama, Florida, Georgia all have better talented players that we don't match up with yet. I'm not pulling against TN at all & you guys on here think otherwise & that's wrong. I'm a Vol faithful as you are. I'm just being realistic of where we are as a team as compared to others......understand?
