Wow! A little unwarranted hostility there. All I suggested is that you be a little more forthcoming and less vague about the situation, and perhaps you wouldn't feel so compelled to defend your position. I wasn't taking one side or the other. I simply used your words describing the league.

Hating on my alma mater is crushing though. My degree just took a major hit.

And just so we're clear, using the word "steward" to describe my attendance is evidence enough that you have no idea what the word means.

And that is what it all boils down to. If someone doesn't see positivity, then they aren't true fans. it always goes back to that.

Who gives a rat's ass if you enjoy going out to the RTL to hear BT scream into a mic and watch bad basketball? Instead of creating something beneficial to the program, we want to make the yokels happy.

Yeah, that's not really the arguement here at all. You went to see former players, and your friends/associates tagged along. NYYvol is trying to imply that if the RTL games were of a higher quality then big name coaches would be out checking them out.

I know what the word means. it was merely used to describe the cess pool that is in Mossy Creek.

And the budget concerns around there should be enough to challenge the highly touted degree you have from there, not my words.

My degree sent me on my way in life, and my accomplishments since, have and will dictate my path henceforth, not a piece of paper from a school. All of which is completely beside the point in this conversation about the laurels of the RTL.

I guess what I don't understand, is why you feel the need to come into this forum and try to dictate other peoples' opinions on what they should or shouldn't enjoy. If someone likes the league, let them like it, sans any sarcastic wit from your end.

It just seems like you want to be argumentative and abrasive with others instead of having decent conversation (your comment about my degree for instance). In my experience, you are too quick to turn to insults if someone disagrees. If you are as knowledgeable and experienced as you put on (which I have no reason to believe you're not), just let it go and let be at peace with it in your mind if you can't intelligently persuade someone to your side in a civil manner.
