Josiah-Jordan James returning to Tennessee

Guess he plays more 4 this year. Don’t really want him taking away from Knecht’s minutes. May be bad news for some of Gainey and DJ’s minutes this year also.
Not if he’s a 4…that would mean bad news for Ledlum and likely Estrella, potentially some or Mashack.

I would assume he’s still going to play some 3. So Mashack/Knecht/JJJ would take up all the available minutes at the 3. I heard it mentioned Gainey would play some 3 and DJ at the 3/4. They may not be factors next year if so.

But yes Ledlum/Estrella going to be affected as well.

I don’t expect JJJ to be playing 30 mpg unless he’s healthier than he’s been his entire career. He can play an outstanding role as a spark, a matchup problem, and a coach on the floor.

I don’t think it factors into the math, but is the limit on travel player spots (1) in total or (2) the number of walk ons? I think we had 18 players in 2022-23 but a couple had to stay home for road games.

Another year of watching him having a good game then disappear for 2 weeks.

A lot of fans were saying this ^ a couple months ago. Now, they'll act we are getting Michael Jordan for a year. Short memory

JJJ about to get 25-30 mins. Smh
I’m guessing 15-20 unless he’s completely healthy and playing like he did through the SEC tournament championship 2 seasons back. We should all hope he’s earning 25-30 minutes because the best of JJJ is probably better than any of our transfers - he just hasn’t been able to stay healthy enough to play at that level consistently.
