You very literally cannot point to stats or facts beyond a handful of teams that find talent and win. I'm sure Saban depends on his 247 subscription to find great players, right?
Do you really, honestly not see how stupid what you're pushing is?
Your faith in the recruiting sites is not born out by their accuracy or lack thereof in predicting winners.... or future NFL players.
I am not pushing anything. I will state it again because your comprehension level is lacking. Oh and future NFK players is irrelevant to college football. The teams that get the most blue chip players win at the highest rates. Period. That’s irrefutable. And that’s my point. You just don’t want to accept that.
Ok, I'll bite.
The whole chicken or egg thing again.
Are they blue chips because of recruiting services or blue chips because of who offered?
Mixture. But plenty of guys are highly rated before ever getting a Bama or UGA offer. Some of the highly ranked guys never get an offer from Bama and UGA. So how are they blue chips? Players get evaluated by recruiting services and given a number grade. Those grades can and do change based on offers. But since guys are given grades before big time offers all the time, what does that say?
Because the recruiting scouts and evaluators watched them in person, got together and gave them the “blue chip” grade. This isn’t very hard dude. The services don’t wait for certain schools to offer to give their grades. Good grief.
I agree. A lot of the players in the portal are there because of two reasons. They are not playing up to their recruited potential, or the have been recruited over. Either way, it is a gamble which we won with Hooker. In the next couple of years, our recruiting will greatly reduce the number of portal players who will attract our interest. It says the best of the best are noticed probably in 8th grade and that's the players they hit on.
There's no way you can believe ANY person that grades players for these sites has the acumen of an SEC coach.
As far as good players not being offered by the Bamas....... There's more to recruiting than just stats. Are they a good kid? Do you think they'll fit in or wreck your locker room? Etc. I think this is why Heupel isn't going after all these guys in the portal. You have to believe they fit in, especially in a rebuild!
Not gonna argue teams with higher rated players do better. They do. I think the more interesting part is, why are they rated high.
That does not prove the accuracy of the recruiting sites. There's nothing wrong with my comprehension. I understand EXACTLY what you are claiming. You are simply, completely WRONG. Pretty much everyone here sees it except you. Even those who have more faith in the recruiting sites than I do see it.I am not pushing anything. Curious to hear why you think he doesn't fit in with the culture and exactly what your view is of said culture. I'm pretty indifferent on Rucker, bu I'm having a hard time making sense of what you're saying.I think Wes Rucker needs to go from covering Tennessee on any site. I don’t hate him like many do but it’s clear he doesn’t fit in with the culture

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I don’t think he’s a bad guy but the role he plays on those podcasts are something that literally any of us could do. Reads off stats, makes odd evaluations, mispronounces names (current players and commits alike). It’s mind blowing. Locked on is just him reading a stat sheet most of the timeCain does an entire solo podcast without doing any research. He can't even pronounce his ad reads correctly half the time. I was so surprised when he got the slot at VQ over Ben McKee, who at least attempts to put in the leg work to have knowledge on a particular topic.
