Well Coaches have Alabama AND Penn State in front of us. Tennessee HATE, but they want to move here!

Nobody taks the coaches poll seriously...not even the coaches. Most have an assistant SID fill their ballot out. I bet Saban couldn't tell you who he voted for, because he didn't fill it out! lol

But what if (... because I can ...) Michigan loses to unranked Purdue in the championship game. They probably fall out of the top 4. And if that happens including OSU, well that puts a team that lost to a team that lost to an unranked team in the top 4? If USC loses - that is two spots that are probably open. It would get rather interesting.

Playing in these championship games can bolster a team but it also can be their downfall if they lose.

Next Saturday will either be a very uneventful day and the top 7 or so in the poll will remain as is or it could be a very eventful day with no one having a clue and lots of folks arguing who should be the top 4.

If you hide the names of the teams and put Team A (Alabama) record against Team B (Tennessee) record, Team B will get the slot. Team B would get the slot. However, they will see the name Alabama and give them the nod. This will happen if going for the playoff position or the Bowl selection by SEC.

How about this I'm gonna start a random poll on if Vandy is a better team than Auburn. Even better if people would be more angry with a loss or Vandy or Auburn. I'd bet every penny I own Auburn wins that. No disrespect to Vandy, but history kinda backs it all up. The worst season Auburn has has is right there with the best Candy has had in our lifetimes. Vandy used to be a thing pre 1960... But it's private it ain't cheap. As a person who went to college on a full scholarship I get they are not all equal and FULL is not representative of reality. A full year of education at UT is about 1.2 at Vandy. And that's before room and board.

On a full academic scholly after 4 years I ended up with a bill that woulda bought me a decent 5 year old Lexus at the end.Atca much cheaper public school than UT.. (I'm a TSU graduate)

I dont think so. I know, i know head to head. UT won in a nailbiter at home. But that Carolina loss was just an embarassment. Bama doesnt have a loss anywhere near that bad on their record.

They also don’t have any good wins. Tennessee has 2.

This is all you have to do. Put the facts down on paper; instead of putting Alabama (put Team 1 above their facts), put (Team 2 instead of Tennessee). Show anyone those facts without the team names and every single person selects Team 2. There really isn’t even a case for Alabama. However, when the committee deliberates, their names will be over their facts and I’m guessing that Alabama brand name will put them at #6. If it does, this committee loses all credibility.
