Im not a huge fan of Cuonzo but to say fire him now is retarded. Now I am of the ilk that doesn't think only making the NCAA should be enough to keep him. With the seniors we have and Stokes too we should at least win a game. To fire him today though because he lost a road game at a top 12 team that is coming off a year they made a Final Four is overreaction. Reality is Bruce wont be rehired here. Steven Pearl even said not fair to root against this team to fail to Fire Cuonzo to bring back Bruce. He said that will NEVER HAPPEN on the Hooker show. So we might as well root this team on and if a decision to part ways with Martin comes up then go find us a winner.

That team we beat a year ago improved after that loss and so much made a Final Four. Also playing a road game against a fanbase like that is tough. Most major schools wouldn't attempt that game in Shockers back yard.

I'm so glad most ut sunshine sheep were not n marine corp.. U don't accept avg if u want to be the best.. U think the most powerful people n the world did no they cut their freaking heads off n moved on.

Grow a set n demand more..

I have not donated a dime since dools days n more people should do the same..

We sux n every sport n so tired of it.. But hillbilly tn its OK as long as u love ut.lol

Lol. Maybe that last line says it all. I was not in the marine corps (although my father was), and I am very competitive. That doesn't mean I prefer to fire our coach right now. Lets see what happens.

How would you know?...UT has never went after big name coaches before...Bruce Pearl was lightening in a bottle and very lucky for us to land at the time...99% of the time UT goes after top assistants or lower level coaches that show promise....That is a fact.

True to a certain extent but the big money tickets were sold preseason. You have to remember it's a huge arena and the lower part is a good crowd numbers wise.

Kentucky has made a decision that they pay their basketball coach. They don't have the resources to both football and basketball.

We do (at least we did before Hambone), and we should be thinking bigger and better in our money-making sports.

But, the key may be to fire Hart and Cheek first.

Did Wichita State become a CRAP team when I wasn't looking? I haven't been impressed with Cuonzo since his hire, but why all this after a loss to a nationally ranked team? Give him the season FIRE HIM ON THE TARMAC people...airports ain't going anywhere :popcorn:

I don't think we should fire him midsession, but unless he pulls off a miracle and gets this team to the tournament, I think he should be fired as soon as we lose our 1st/2nd NIT game.

Maybe not, but losing to UTEP was inexcusable. Better coaching would have beaten Xavier the first game of the year as well. Bottom line, CCM has not won a OOC road game since he arrived at UT. That in itself is pretty scary.

Did you watch or listen to the game? UT played a top 12 team in the nation on the road and was a play or two away from winning it and you people are wanting him fired before he gets home. Even the announcers said if UT wins it would be the best road win in college basketball, that's the entire country! Give this team a chance for Christ sakes. If this how morons react then Bill Self should be fired from Kansas for loses 3 games in a row this year with a lottery pick on his team. Let the season ride its course and then make your opinions after the season has finished.

This is the same thing we have been hearing for 3 years every time we lose to a top 25 team on the road. CCM hasn't pulled out a victory yet ( against an out of conference team, that's "any" out of conference team, not just top 25)
