Just like USC did in football, Hart should fire

Maybe not, but losing to UTEP was inexcusable. Better coaching would have beaten Xavier the first game of the year as well. Bottom line, CCM has not won a OOC road game since he arrived at UT. That in itself is pretty scary.

Didn't like it either but I'm sure there are Tarheel fans who were screaming for Roy Williams' head after losses to Carolina Directional School and UAB...But they hit the mute button after wins against Michigan State, Louisville and Caintuck last night...we got time...patience people

just an fyi, the jackasses that always talk about "they aren't going to get anymore of my donations" haven't donated squat in the first place.

I'm sure that's often times correct. But you have to wonder how long our athletic malaise can continue without there being financial repercussions in the AD.

Cuonzo is not going anywhere. You may as well sit back and strap in. He can miss the tournament and baring a tsunamiesque collapse will be retained for at least one more year. Money drives these decisions not wins and losses and there is no financial incentive to fire him.

Exactly this.

with all the posters that have pulled their fake funds away from the AD, its a miracle we are top 10 in football, basketball and women's basketball attendance.

Then we the fans should create a financial incentive effective IMMEDIATELY, by refusing to show up for another single game until this administration hires us a winner.

This unfortunately is the only way the fans have any leverage. Although it will not happen. IF the fans did boycott the games it would force the administration to take action. It would also send a more important message. It would tell the administration that the fans are not going to accept the best coach available for the money we want to spend approach. The administration needs to understand that if they want the fans and financial contributors to support the program. Their attitude in hiring a coach should be to offer the kind of financial package necessary to bring in a top 10 coach. If Kentucky and Florida can do it Tennessee certainly has the fans and backers to afford superior coaching. As lone as the fans continue to support the status quo the administration will continue to provide the same level of coaching. Keep in mind fans and financial backers love the game but the administration is all about dollars and cents. JMTC

OK perhaps I was exaggerating about the airport tarmac business, but the point I was making is that it should be done IMMEDIATELY, not after the season. If we do it now, maybe we could still salvage something out of this season. Perhaps not, but either way we will have gotten rid of our problem, a loser coach.

I agree man, its time to stop the bleeding. Another game where we crumble under his leadership. This team is bumbling circus!!

That's not always true Sparty. As you know, to get season tickets in football or basketball you have to donate. I let my tickets go 3-4 years ago. I just got tired of spending that much money on such a crapy product. Now I was donating the minimum so it wasn't a lot of money but I'm sure I'm not the only small donor to do this so it does add up.

Cuonzo the Clown right on the airport tarmac. He should make one of the assistants the interim coach and then maybe, like USC did with football, we can salvage something out of this season.

While Cuonzo is meeting Hart at the tarmac...

Let me tell you something about UTEP. They have two less appearances in NCAA tournament than UT. They also have a national championship in basketball that Tennessee doesn't have. I might add, they beat Kentucky for that championship.

I hear you and there are exceptions. If there are 100 posters on here talking about pulling donations, there may be a handful that are legit. Others are fos. Hell, half the group are under 20 yrs old. Then others drop season tix for kids or job reasons, but say it's because of the product because it sounds cooler.

Oh goodie, another excuse making, coach bootlicker. As if we don't have enough of those in our fan base.

I love this university, but it would take a LOT of money for me to coach here due to the crap fanbase we have. Largely due to schmucks like you that give up on everyone and think winning games in real life is as easy as a damn video game.

Being criticized is part of the job. No one pays you to look pretty on the sidelines.

People don't like watching badly coached BB. Green had talent and won 20 plus games but the gym was empty because they were painful to watch.

Not in my case. Just came to the conclusion with the help from my wife when she said you go to the games in a great mood and come home in a crappy mood, is it worth the money and time? I had to answer no. Every year right before the season, I think I'm going to go back and then I think no not going to do it. Nope.

TBA ain't empty though. Zo is not going to be fired if he wins 20 games and doesn't make the tourney. Do I agree? No, if he doesn't make they tourney his ass needs to go, but Zo would have to have a whole lot worse year than he's had the past 2 years to get fired and I hate to break it to Cuonzo haters but he's not bad enough to not win 20 games with this team.

The Dooley firing doesn't support your position.

This guy aint winning 20 games !

How would you know?...UT has never went after big name coaches before...Bruce Pearl was lightening in a bottle and very lucky for us to land at the time...99% of the time UT goes after top assistants or lower level coaches that show promise....That is a fact.

It's common sense a good coach isn't going to come to a place where fans "boycott" a 6-3 team that just lost to a Top 12 team on the road in a generally close game. It's not really hard to understand why.
