Just read Limbaugh's comments in context

O'Reilly laid out a time line on Ms Fluke that leads directly back to the White House. She is being "handled" by a recent/former member of this administration.

To add insult to injury, the media then claims the republicans are stupid for making birth control a central issue in the claim.

Fluke and Limbaugh have a lot in common.

The whole affair completely avoids the central issue of religious protection under constitutional rights.

Peter Gabriel, Rush, and Rage Against The Machine have all asked Rush Limbaugh to stop using their music. I'm surprised his show used RATM to begin with, since they're not even close to being conservative. Can't speak for Rush or Gabriel's politics.

Now Gloria Allred has found an obscure Florida statute which is still on the books saying that it's a misdemeanor to basically insult a woman and has sent a letter to the Palm Beach County DA asking him to investigate whether Limbaugh should be prosecuted.

Wait... seriously? It's so outrageous that only Allred would go after it.

Write on Nevada: Rush to avoid debate no Fluke

That’s because it’s a debate that so perfectly illuminates the core differences between the two main competing ideologies in this country.

Those on the Left believe in using the power of government to ensure that the choices they have identified as “for the public good” are forced upon all — even when it comes to the finest details of individuals’ lives. Hence their belief, for example, that government can and should tell health-insurance providers that they must cover contraceptives (or tell the auto industry what kinds of cars to produce, or restaurants what kind of foods they can offer, or…).

On the other side of the debate are those of us who believe in the fundamental right of individuals to make these decisions for themselves. We may disagree internally as to the “right” choices on a whole array of issues, but ultimately, we agree that it is not the government’s role to force a one-size-fits-all approach onto all of society.

And this piece leaves out an even more fundamental aspect, that of telling a religious group that they must violate basic believes in order to conform to governmental policy.

They can say they are making the insurance companies pay but that cost will be passed on to the organization that is contracting the insurance company because insurance don't give anything away for free.

FWIW, I lifted the following message from another board discussing this topic.

My sister called me this morning from Redding Calif. and said that yesterday there was to be a anti Rush sit in at the local Radio Station that carries him. Six people showed up and even they left early and went home. This morning just a few moments before the Rush Limbaugh show started, the station Manager came on air and stated: If you don't like Rush Limbaugh, Bill Maher, Ed Shultz etc. just turn off your radio or change stations, we believe in freedom of speech here!! “

15 - 50/month with discounts a Planned Parenthood. Is this seriously about financial burden?

What % are prescribed for ovarian cysts?

I don't have a vagina so I'm fairly uneducated on the subject, but I'm pretty sure A LOT of women take it to regulate/limit their menstrual cycles.

What the NY Slimes doesn't tell you is that proto-fascist dictator Yoweri Museveni, who has been in power for nearly 25-years also uses child soldiers in his Ugandan army.

As a matter of fact Knoy learned this tactic from Museveni who was more than likely the first in modern day Africa to use the tactic starting in 1986 and is in widespread use by many factions in central Africa, not just confined to Kony and his resistance army.

Kony 2012 Video is Misleading - YouTube

Heh, heh.

government : Deadline Live With Jack Blood

Museveni does not care for the plight of children in Uganda’s Acholi region. How else would he have herded 2 million Acholis in concentration camps for 20 years where, according to the United Nations’ World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1,000 children, women and men died of planned neglect–lack of medical facilities; lack of adequate food; dehydration, and; lack of sanitation and toilet facilities. Does this sound like a person who cares about children?

His colleagues have denounced Acholis as “backwards” and as “biological substances.” General Museveni himself revealed an interesting pathology, as a first class racist African when he told Atlantic Monthly Magazine, in September 1994: “I have never blamed the whites for colonizing Africa: I have never blamed these whites for taking slaves. If you are stupid, you should be taken a slave.” Ironically –or perhaps not– the general was even more embraced by Washington after those remarks. Gen. Museveni has been a U.S. ally since the days of Ronald Reagan.

So why does Invisible Children only go after Kony while leaving Museveni alone when in fact they are two sides of the same coin?

Be an interesting study to see if handing out condoms/free birth control would benefit long term by reducing the number of unwanted pregnancy and welfare recipients. Normally I'm against govt expansion in new services. The result is either larger deficits or higher taxes.

On Limbaugh, once she entered the public debate by speaking in publicly she opened herself up to criticism. Sure it was crass, but not unusual for him. He's called women libbers "feminazi's" for decades.

again, Limbaugh's comments provided democrats a convenient distraction from the trainwreck that is the US economy and soaring gas prices

Transcript of testimony by Sandra Fluke

There's this thing called "google" that you can use to find things that you want. Since that seems too difficult for you, I will oblige.

I watched the testimony live there Skippy. Do not need Google for that, but Big Thanks for the internet lesson.
The source that we would all like is where you get all the liberal talking points that are so humorous.

I've talked to two OB/GYNs about this. Neither one is Catholic or extremely religious. Both have served poor populations over the years. They say the argument made by the current administration is ridiculous.

Of course it is. It's never been about cost. It's all about control.

I know...I know...I'm sorry to be redundant...but without a willing press corpse...I see no way for anybody to get away with such a silly argument.

I read on the internet that you are wrong.

So you are.

it's really a way to garner votes from people willing to be hijacked over a nothing issue.

Then there's that.

Just wait until this Fall when the President will be running all over the country passing out handouts like candy.
