according to him, it was his loyalty to the kids he recruited. Where's the loyalty to us, his alma and wtf roll with Kiffen after all that he did to us. Everyone says it's the kids? He has a kid in Knoxville also!

Don't mind the rejection.... But not buying the loyalty Too the recruits Excuse. Only been there one year.

He could have said he was a grown ass man & will do what's in his & his family's best interest. He owes Tennessee nothing & we should all be proud he won a title that we may never see again in our lifetimes. Who's to say he won't coach at Tennessee at some point in the future?

Its Coach speak...He probably decided to stay for a ton of other reasons...It just sounds good for the troops..."I stayed for you!"

All those who think we should wish him well and say "This is a business decision," have no right to ridicule those of us who feel rather betrayed. It's your opinion and we are entitled to have our own. I get sick of all the sheep, who by the way, are 0-4 on all the coaching/ad firings. They called us idiots and whiners for calling for Fulmer, Hamilton, and Dooley's firing, and those who dared criticize Kiffin's hiring (instead of Gary Patterson or Brian Kelly) got ridiculed.

You Sheep have been dead wrong for the past 5-6yrs, at every turn. If anyone wants to voice their dissent, they may just very well be right....and if we all just stay in line and withhold dissent, we'd still have these characters around.

We all want the best for the program, and want to get behind the staff, but sometimes gaffes are made. Why can we not challenge these without the sheepish hordes scoffing and ridiculing?

In this case, I'm not so much upset with Tee for choosing to stay where he is. I'm upset by the fact that he knows doing so means HE CHOOSES TO CONTINUE TO HURT/OPPOSE THIS PROGRAM...by negative recruiting against us, in order to pull athletes from our own backyard.

This deserves scorn, IMHO.

I still respect Tee. He made the decision for his family and you can't fault him for that....

Im with you. Unbeleivable how some people just basically worship players and former players and then as soon as they make a decision in life that's not the decision we wish they would have made we immediately turn on them. TEE HELPED WIN OUR LAST NC. I'M PRETTY SURE THE MAN IS ENTITLED TO MAKING HIS OWN DECISIONS

Come on now that's just being silly! I think Tee handled the situation exceptionally well. Tee Martin will always be a VFL for 1998 alone, need I say more? Show some respect! GBO!
