Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

Show me one of her quotes that says she'll try to bypass the constitution, else you're just pissing into the wind. Now... Try to disqualify her on her faith and tell all of the moderate Christians out there that their beliefs disqualify them from being a voice at the table.

Go ahead. I dare you.

I could argue a Protestant is due to be at the table.

You know I’m referring to the simple majority vote to break the filibuster. That was the act. The more basic issue was playing fast and loose with the rules with regards to SCOTUS appointments.

Even Thomas was affirmed after what 100 days of filibuster? But he was affirmed. You girls played fast and loose to get what you wanted on your timeline. You reap what you sow and nobody is interested in your morality appeals here
You mean the thing Reid removed for lower court appointments because McConnell was refusing to given them an up or down vote?

I genuinely hope the Senate is as stupid as that columnist and el. It would be a sure fire way to alienate Christians in the height of election season.
It’s all they could pull on her when she was up for her current job. DiFi was clearly throwing shade on her judgement capability to separate her faith from her responsibilities. It’s it’s plan A right now and why the tweets are coming out.

Lol....
If all the raindrops
Were lemon drops and gumdrops
Oh what a rain that would be

The lemon drops would resemble hail and hail damage, and the gumdrops would be more like sticky environmental pollution. There's still hope for unicorns though ... if you aren't playing leapfrog with them.

I do love reading all of this spin though in the media. And I especially love seeing the meme of Ginsburg’s reply on they don’t stop being president in the fourth year.

But the part I really love is equating the current situation to Obama at the end of his second term in 2016 as the basis that the whole process must pause due to Trump being a lame duck. The arrogance at the presumptive outcome of the election as a basis to modify our entire history in POTUS nominations is absolutely hilarious to behold 😂. And now they don’t have that pesky super majority to deal with anymore in the confirmation process. Womp womp 🤣

It's the whole segregation / integration conundrum.
Segregationists thought integrationists were people with bad ideas.
Integrationists thought segregationists had ideas that would primarily only be held by bad people.
You’re serious? It’s 2020 Luther. 😳

When you say constitutionalist I hear right leaning.
It's become a code word that has different meanings to different people.

Yeah, you are probably correct. What amounts to literal intent of words and phrases usually doesn't line up with what you and your liberal buddies want it to be, so they must be leaning right. Why can't your side just come out and say you want creative interpretations dependent on the situation you need resolved - like toddlers playing games and revising the rules as they go.

Democrats are no different, in fact, they are worse. Just look at the hearings on the SCOTUS nominations, as if you need a reminder.
Do you not believe that Dems wouldn’t do the exact same thing if roles were reversed?
After watching and listening to the liberals the last 4 years this post is beyond hypocrisy . The left has burnt every bridge , thrown, cast every stone , used up every bit of capital , put all their eggs in one basket and sunk to the lowest depts trying to oust Trump and grouping Republicans in with him . Now there’s a “ situation “ and suddenly it’s the Rs that cant be expected to “ do the ethical or right thing” ? Man I love watching real time karma in action .
@BowlBrother85

See? Why would any Senator feel that representing this lot requires consistency? The go-to defense of everything is “the Democrats would do it, too” and the justification for everything is “the evil Democrats will gain power if we don’t!” If their constituents can be conned into believing both of these things simultaneously, why would any Republican senator worry over staying true to the statements they made four years ago?

When partisanship became the entire platform, there was no room left for consistency.

When your “platform” includes among other things:

  • Defunding the police
  • Abolishing the Electoral College
  • “Packing” the Supreme Court
  • Green New Deal
I think it’s clear the inmates are running the asylum formerly known as the DNC. There is no voice of reason for the Democrat party. They’re all bowing to the SJW / Socialist mob.

Ridiculous to try to justify caving in to these lunatics.

All that aside...

Is he still President, and is the Senate still active?

Liberals are scared to death. They have used the courts to bypass the legislature for years and now that may be coming to an end. Obama was a “lame duck” president because he was term limited and a new President was guaranteed. That is not the case with Trump. Different circumstances entirely.
Expect a new SC Justice by the end of the year even if Trump loses the election.
