Second, the President can propose any budget they want but it is the responsibility of the House to originate all budgets.
Third, the only time we have had a surplus in the last 30 years was when Newt controlled the house.

I would say that since Hoover the -ism that both republicans and democrats ( redundant) resemble is fascism when you consider some of the characteristics of fascism.

1)large central govt w deficit
2) state interference in market economy with planned economy in practice
3)informal or formal imperialism
4)militarism
5) dictator or cult of personality leader (not quite here yet)

He got the country/his voters to believe in an idealized past

He gets them to believe in unified enemies, ie immigrants, protestors, etc.

He gets them to believe in populism and angry messages against all that question his authority.

He wants to censor PRIVATE businesses that take down his posts on their own sites.

He fights and subverts all media, intelligence, and other politicians.

He incites racism, sexism, etc.
