I don't care if he's lying about what he had for breakfast. Fact is, he consciously lied under oath before the Senate judiciary committee and he did it to further his chances of being confirmed. All he had to do was to admit that he drank excessively as a youth and said various things that were hurtful to and/or demeaning of women because he was, at the time, caught up in a machismo culture, which he no longer subscribes to. The reason he didn't do that, I suspect, is because if it looked like he was a hostile drunk frat boy, Ford's story would be much more believable and his denials more suspect.
