Kavanaugh Confirmation

We’ve been through this .. the center not cent left or center right as defined by the parties but the true center is where the sweet spot is that everybody should try to be at , it’s where the country runs the best . When one side or the other goes too far left or right there will be a correction because it forces the voters to stand up and say hey , that’s enough . Your party led by Barry went too far left with the PC, everybody not of color is a racist , global elitist wanna be’s headed toward socialism . The voters said enough and elected Trump to correct the course . I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again , no matter how much you think it’s a great idea , this country doesn’t want to be European or have a socialist government . After Trump the best thing to do is try to find a centrist president or as close to it as possible .
So an appropriate response from the right to Obama was Trump, but an appropriate response from the left to Trump would be a centrist? Doesn't sound like you're in that proverbial sweet spot.
Change comes from moving and redefining the center. 50 years ago the center was okay with segregation. 30 years ago the center was offended by the gay community. The center didn't move itself.

This is why we have a Trump and why it’s important to put constitutionalist on the bench . These people ( sheeple) feed off of the leftist media , never challenge what somebody with a mic and a camera tells them and believes the SC should rule more off of “social justice “ than the constitution .

You are certainly smart enough to know the same it true of the right. I would guess even more so.

I'm waiting for the day when a constitutionalist is put on the bench. If it happens, it will be the first time in my life it's happened.

Would you after seeing that video ( I’m assuming here) rather have a judge like Gorsich on the bench or an RBG/ Sotomayor ?

Show me video examples of kids from the right saying things like this since I was kind enough to show proof that the ones on the left would rather the SC make rullimgs based on social justice instead of the constitution . I’ll wait .

Trump is the result , you act like there’s no resistance to him and he’s running among doing anything he wants . He has pull the culture away from socialism and back towards the center. . My point is that if you want the Center then you elect some close to it , if the left elects someone that’s going to try and take it back hard left you will create another Trump , until will find politicians / voters that are tired of the back and forth a Trump type will always be in play when things get out of whack.

I want emotionally invested in BK either, and wish we had someone with a better view on the 4th as well as Obamacare. He's definitely not my pick.

But this process was also atrocious. Luther believes what he wants to believe, and is trying to justify it after the fact. No surprise.
Loother believes everything the liberal media and democrats tell him.

Can't watch the video now but Thomas is probably the closest, Gorsich is too new to have an opinion on. Sotomayor is better than Roberts and Alito who are in favor of every 4th amendment violation that comes down the pike. Ironically, the current powers of judicial review by the supreme court is unconstitutional. It was a power usurped by the court in Marbury vs Madison.

You should watch the video of college kids ( the next generation of voters ) saying the constitution is outdated and they would rather the SC rule off of the bases of social justice instead of the constitution .

The middle wants the end of partisan BS but we know it's not likely to happen. Democrats and Republicans both put party before country so we're left scrambling to decide which is the better choice. Hillary Clinton represents everything wrong in politics. Running her was a huge mistake by the Democrats. The reason so many in the middle went with Trump is because he was anti-establishment. He was not a lifetime politician. Sure, he's an arrogant, obnoxious POS, but he wasn't more of the same. Personally, I thought both choices were bad, so I chose not to vote, but I certainly understand why those who voted for Trump did so.

As for the roommate, if we're being honest, you most likely found him credible because you wanted him to be credible. It's not credible to me that a college roommate would be privy to high school slang when no one from the high school stepped forward to counter Kavanaugh's translation. It makes no sense. I understand you want Kavanaugh to be a perjurer, a rapist, or whatever will disqualify him from the court, but zero proof exists of those claims. You want him to be bad because he has a political ideology different that yours. I'm sorry, but that's just ludicrous. We are still a country where you have to prove guilt. It's not about how you feel. It's okay to be pissed for purely partisan reasons, but you should really accept that you are pissed over the politics, not some unfounded, unproven allegations you put forward as fact.

As for the large segment of pissed off people, I guess we'll see which segment is larger and more pissed off after the mid-terms. Maybe your side will win, maybe they won't, but the elections should be interesting.

That ship has already sailed. We've been post constitutional since at least the beginning of the 20th century. The soviet union had a constitution similar to ours so a piece of paper isn't going to save you if the population prioritizes group grievances over liberty.

Well since we don’t have constitutionist judges the next best thing I guess is conservative judges . Good thing K got on the bench . 😊

This was Hillary choices...
  • Chief Judge Merrick Garland (D.C. Cir.)
  • Judge Sri Srinivasan (D.C. Cir.)
  • Judge Jane Kelly (8th Cir.)
  • Judge Paul Watford (9th Cir.)
  • Judge Jacqueline Nguyen (9th Cir.)
  • Justice Goodwin Liu (California Supreme Court)
  • Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar (California Supreme Court)
  • Judge Lucy H. Koh (N.D. Cal.)
  • Judge Patricia Millett (D.C. Cir.)
  • Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.)
  • Senator Cory Booker (D.-N.J.)- LOL

Dems, here is one of your leaders explaining how this works.

And it works because the press is a wing of the Dem party

Speechless.....I can’t believe I’ve never seen that before. I’d like to hear the question that led to that moment of honesty from her.

Of course I'm going to be ideologically opposed to anyone Trump nominates. Gorsuch and K were equally ideologically unacceptable but Gorsuch was't a perjurer and probable sex offender. Gorsuch = okay. K = horrible pick.
