If RJ played, TN would have won this game going away, and that debacle after being 16 pts doesn't happen! She would have gotten buckets against the ND D pretty easily and helped stop the bleeding.Would their missing players have made a difference tonight?
missing RJ was not what lost this game.
Agree with your last paragraph. If RJ played, TN would have won this game going away, and that debacle after being 16 pts doesn't happen! She would have gotten buckets against the ND D pretty easily and helped stop the bleeding.
Now, both teams had star players out, so it comes out in the wash.
I'm more frustrated that Jewel S sat on the bench during their 3rd quarter comeback when our offense was sputtering and the egregious lack of T/Os at the end of the game.
What I should have said was Coach Harper has topped out on her abilities. The Lady Vols will probably win 20 games or so on the season, which on a national level is pretty good but for us is just an adequate job. I am not sure she is the answer to our championship aspiration. We are good but not great or elite.Adequate coach? Wow

My point was she didn’t deserve the extension. She was mid before she got extended the team went on a little run then bam a new contract. Like, they didn’t take into account her body of work before then.Meaningless. Hollys would have expired last year had she coached through her contract extension.
This is his chance to prove he cares about women’s sports, and Tennessee basketball (for women at least) is not a poverty program. I would like to see a swing for the fences move similar to what US soccer did for the women’s national team. Try to poach Becky Hammond; it likely wouldn’t be successful, but you never know. Based on a cursory Google, Kellie makes more than Hammond. Sell a coach on the challenge of restoring the program to its former glory. This shouldn’t be hard unless we want to tie our own hands by sticking to people with ties to the program.Who does Danny White realistically go after if he decides to move on from Harper after this season?
Jon Grudin. Heard he was spotted at Island Home Airport.Who does Danny White realistically go after if he decides to move on from Harper after this season?
Hammond was my first choice when Holly was let go. She may have come then, but not so sure about now. I don't anticipate a head coaching change at this time. Kellie is winning just enough to hang on.This is his chance to prove he cares about women’s sports, and Tennessee basketball (for women at least) is not a poverty program. It seems from the outside looking in that the women are successful in the classroom which is super important. If the team continues to win 20 games a season and makes the NCAA tournament the AD is probably satisfied with status quo. They are student athletes who were recruited to play basketball while working towards a degree on scholarship. I know all that sounds naive, but I am trying to think like the AD does.Kellie's not going to accomplish squat here, unless people are already so far removed from the idea of being elite that making an odd Sweet Sixteen is good enough.
If the AD thinks that way,,,for such a program as TN'sIt seems from the outside looking in that the women are successful in the classroom which is super important. That means the Thornton Center tudors are doing their job. And the girls understand academics are what allows them to stay on the team.It seems from the outside looking in that the women are successful in the classroom which is super important.
