I’d start by not promoting from the bench. After that open it up…you’re not getting Dawn, Mulkey, Geno, Tara. You need a purse between 1.25-1.75M, possibly 2M on the right coach (lure Muffet out of retirement). You don’t take an assistant, but you go all in on whatever it takes to get a recruiter that can match Jolette Law. A coach like Hammon isn’t coming to deal with NIL, portal and high school recruiting.Who would we look to as a replacement for Kellie?
Ugly stat in the first half of how many layups they missed. Something 6-16 missed layups/around the rim.Initially ND came out shooting the jumpers and weren't making them.
Their coach made adjustments in Q4 and went with a tall lineup and scored inside on us at will.
We should have packed the paint or ran some zone and forced them outside again
Muffet HATES Tennessee no amount of Money would get her. And y tarnish her coaching record for us. No wayI’d start by not promoting from the bench. Post of the dayThis is his chance to prove he cares about women’s sports, and Tennessee basketball (for women at least) is not a poverty program. I would like to see a swing for the fences move similar to what US soccer did for the women’s national team. Try to poach Becky Hammond; it likely wouldn’t be successful, but you never know. Based on a cursory Google, Kellie makes more than Hammond. Sell a coach on the challenge of restoring the program to its former glory. This shouldn’t be hard unless we want to tie our own hands by sticking to people with ties to the program.

You have more faith in the NBA than I do and in Hammon’s lack of frustration with being a token candidate. I’d love for her to get a NBA shot, and I also don’t think she would take the job here, but that’s the caliber hire I think we should be pursuing. This should be among the top jobs in women’s sports given the environment and history and should be treated and pitched as such.Becky Hammond isn't coming to coach a team of 18-21 year old players....
Believe her aspirations are to be first female NBA HC .... eventually some franchise will give her a shot...
I can’t honestly recall a game when we played 40 straight minutes of sound basketball in the last few years. You have to go all the way back to when Meighan, Ariel, Cierra, and Andraya was on the team. The bad part was when we were up by 12 at halftime I told my brother "betcha we'll still lose". That's the state of our program now.
