After watching the games this week, this is well worth repeating. I've seen the future, and it ain't us. So much exciting young talent this year, Ju Ju, Hildago, Williams, Kitts, Watkins, Fulwiley, etc out there getting experience in big games. Meanwhile, our players with elig left after next year are Cooper, Strickland, E Darby, and Boyd coming in. Another guard in 26. Literally not one post or forward. Stone cold depressing.
We have our age old problems, too many t.o.s, tendency to lose poise, inconsistent player development. But IMO lack of elite hs recruiting is far worse than those pitfalls and by far KJH worse shortcoming. It all starts with getting the players. Those who say hs recruiting is a thing of the past and programs can live by portal alone, I just hope to hell you're right.
