Well the "Blue Hairs" know nothing about about the current game for the most part. The "Blue Hairs" if true costs us good coaches by showing their ignorance of the game. But I get it. They are normal fans, stuck in the golden era and think they know what works. Well here is some news for the "Blue Hairs". Retire as coaching consultants. Here is a great list:

Women:

1. Tina Langley- Washington
2. Megan Duffy- Marquette
3. Shawna Green- Illinois

Men:

1. Jeff Walz- Louisville
2. Wes Moore- NC State
3. Kenny Brooks- Virginia Tech

These are coaches that can actually handle this job. There are much more to coaching than just sidelines and this job has added pressure.

Kenny Brooks is someone I'm interested in and may be a realistic possibility if/when a change occurs. I'm a little thrown by the private group chat stuff last season, but that may just have been sour grapes on the part of Ashley O's family.

Ya'll Jeff Walz will not be coaching here, period. Way too much bad blood from both sides under the bridge. Plus he's clearly fading as a coach. We can move on from that.

I will not say I know who we would hire cause I dont. I will say that in defense of Walz look what he done at "Louisville". They sucked. And bad. Louisville and Tennessee should never be spoken in the same sentence, yet while he has been there, they have been much better. Records do not lie. So think given the support we have here what that could have been. And to think bad blood would affect the best hire might be one of the dumbest redneck thought processes known to man. Wont even comment on that any further. My list above is the best of the best right now. Those are facts that the records bear to be true.

I was just pointing out soccer left for Florida state I think he got more money . They poster also pointing out but didn't pay more to try to keep the soccer Coach. Now we have a volleyball coach from California who showing she a good coach on the raise. Other Schools might offer her in the future money to leave rocky top she Earn More money. The other poster. Also point out he wait last minute to add year on volleyball coach contact. For your ? The Soccer better coach ship sail down Tennessee River without bigger offer to keep said coach. Just high school graduation as far as school. Do not think I been to Maryville. Lately been using own streaming box instead of my fire stick. Offer the next coach $20 million over four years. Hold $16 million in escrow. The coach can collect the balance if they win a national championship within that time frame. Otherwise, the balance will be applied toward the next coaching search, which will begin immediately.

Sounds fair to everyone and should attract a slew of confident candidates with chutzpah.

Who do you think told him that? I always visualized Joan Cronan on one side of him and Donna Thomas on the other telling him how it had to be. LOL

And remember, in the midst of the LV HC search is when UCLA came calling for Rick Barnes. I think Fulmer was probably being pressured with what you said and then Barnes pulled his stunt and Fulmer got distracted.

Danny needs to go get Chris Dailey or Lisa Boyer. Anything is an improvement at this point.

This post does point out that some of our fanbase does not learn from past experience. This was a common theme in the latter days of CPF tenure. ANYTHING turned out to be the trail of tears initiated by Kiffin..... Bet the AD can handle this issue without benefit of these diatribes. Timing may not be everything, but it is a factor. The odds of anything happening before we exit the NCAA tournament, or lack of an invitation to it are remote.

Is it okay for a husband to do that to his wife at Walmart? It is not. So why okay on the sideline at Louisville?

Because this isn’t a spousal relationship it’s a boss-employee/coach-player relationship. The best leader I’ve ever worked for would call me into his office, dress me down and dog cuss me for making what he perceived as bad business decisions. But he was right there on the good decisions too supporting me. Never once thought about quitting on him, hating him, feeling embarrassed etc. it’s part of freaking life.

Some people here seem to think that an AD will just fire a coach mid-season and then run out and hire a new coach who will just up and quit their current team mid-season while saying, "I can be there tomorrow."

Are there tampering rules for even contacting other coaches during the season?

Which is fine. But that is the root of the issue. Who set the requirements? That those requirements were imposed on the AD was the drain to the swamp…

Used to be, but I truly think those days are over. I believe KJH was the old guards's last stand, and that only happened bc she was convenient with her tourney run and Fulmer had way bigger fish to fry. I don't think DW would be constrained.

Jeff Walz will never coach at Tennessee might as well move on with that name not going to happen. Brooks is a possibility for sure along with several other names. The NC State coach is staying at NC State for the rest of his career he was not interested made that statement at the last hire. I like Gottlieb, Duff from Marquette and a few others. The problem with them all or any coach will be getting the players to Tennessee. Whomever can do that can usually coach well enough to have success.

Doesn't have to be. You just accepted childish, demeaning behavior from someone who didn't know how to properly motivate his employees.

If it takes being cussed out and screamed at to be motivated to do better and correct mistakes, then I don't know else what to say.

I also noticed that you said, "...for what he perceived as bad business decisions." Doesn't sound as though all his cussing and screaming convinced you that he was right. So what did he accomplish other than stroking his own ego by using you as a whipping boy and fall guy?
