A college coach who recruited Bledsoe said that Ford explicitly told his coaching staff that he needed a specific amount of money to let Bledsoe sign with that university. The coach, who did not want to be named out of fear of repercussions when recruiting in Birmingham, said Ford told him and his staff that he was asking for money because he was helping pay rent for Bledsoe and his mother. Ford denied this, saying, “I don’t prostitute my kids.”

I'd rather have penalty upon penalty watching awesome basketball opposed to doing things the right way and making the NIT. That's just how I feel about it personally."

I thought I'd follow up ukvols' gem with this one from Catspause.

As I stated, he has never lived even on the edge in recruiting but because he has the ability to recruit the NCAA fabricates things against him. He is from the people I’ve talked to, one of the few coaches who is not extremely sleazy recruiting wise.

I saw that one and was about to post it. If that doesn't summarize the classic UK basketball fan, I don't know what does. This guy just lacks the common sense filter to his mouth.

...over this Bledsoe matter? I can't tell because I haven't read anything and, if I have, then any information I do have is apt to disappear. Therefore, I won't go into any detail. My time and effort have been wasted enough already. But, I have to wonder now if anyone else thinks this matter affects the Vols. Thanks.

I wonder what National Title banner he means. Best I can tell, Bledsoe didn't have anything to do with any of them, unless UK was awarded a secret national title for the most recent season.

You realize that you list three of the most penalized programs in NCAA history as evidence that those teams don't get penalized, right?
