Miami's guards didn't do much. The guy who hit all the 3s was their 4.
and this is a surprise? john calipari CANNOT coach. he is a great recruiter, but a very average coach with a streetball offensive scheme that is enept when the defense packs in the middle and makes shooters knock down shots. the coaching decision to not foul mario chalmers in the ncaa championship game was the epitome of cals lack of coaching skills.
I expected UK to pull away in the second half to a 20 point victory. I would still have them in the top 25 then. I didn't think UK would struggle as much as they did against a far inferior team.

If Cal wants the respect of UT fans he needs to paint his chest, buy a tanning bed, and cheat on his wife. That's obviously the way to our fanbase's collective heart.

I think this might be potentially be a weakness for UK with Patterson having to guard people much smaller and quicker. It will be very interesting when we play UK if Patterson can guard Tyler Smith without getting into foul trouble.
Probably not. The only saving grace there is that we are 5 deep on the front line. However, none of them with the speed or athleticism of Tyler. He perhaps will be limited on the block, but should have a great option with the mid-range/outside game.
Since when have 4s been small and quick?
If you can't tell that there is a difference in the size and speed of Tyler Smith and the kid from Miami of Ohio compared to Patrick Patterson, then maybe you should watch a different sport. PP is a 5 playing the 4. It will be tough for him to guard a versatile 4 like Tyler off the bounce.
Lebron is as tall as Patrick Patterson and he's a 3. Size wise he has 4 written all over him.
Or you could also say, since lebron is the same size at Patrick, then Lebron could play the 4. Which coincidentally would cause a huge mis-match, which is the subject of which we are speaking.
We are both recruiting a kid right now who plays a forward position, Mr. Tobias Harris. You think he's not a mis-match for 99% of other forwards out there?
The "hybrid" 4 position is becoming more and more prevalent in todays game.
That would explain why coming out of HS he was considered a 4, this season he is playing 4, and he will play 4 in the NBA.
Right. And I'm definitely not taking anything away from PP. I think he's a great player. I just think it's tough on him trying to play the 4 because I think he would be much more effective on the block every play.
